venerated in Ancient Egypt. Each population
adores a god, whose importance depends on
the importance of the city from where its cult
culminate
• Ra was the Egyptian
god of the Sun and
was frequently
depicted as a hawk
crowned with a solar
disk and a serpent.
• He was worshiped in
Thebes as supreme
creator and ended up
being assimilated to the
god Ra, knowing himself
as Amun-Ra
• She was the goddess of
Thebes, goddess of
heaven and wife of
Amun. It was
represented with a
headdress of vulture
and with the double
crown of the High and
the Lower Egypt
Jonsu was the god of
the moon, and son of
Amun and Mut. He
was depicted with a
hawk's head crowned
with a crescent. He
was the god of the
sick, of medicine and
protected p from evil
spirits

brother Seth. Osiris is
the god of the

jackal's head or a dog
• Ammyt, the "devourer
of the dead" or
"devourer of hearts",
in Egyptian mythology.
He only devoured the
heart if the soul of the
deceased was guilty, if
it was not, he was
rewarded with eternal
life
