Aluminum foil is converted into pouches through a lamination and bag-making process. Aluminum foil provides an absolute barrier to moisture and oxygen but is prone to tearing and wrinkling. To address these issues, aluminum foil is laminated to polymer films to form multilayer structures like PET//AL//PE that are then converted into pouches on bag-making machines through heat sealing. The resulting pouches can be used for packaging foods and come in various styles like zipper-lock pouches and valve pouches.
