took the initiative as the Con-

mean much as also present were
Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Ya-
dav, representatives of Trina-
mool Congress, Telugu Desam

political front with the Congress.
The gradual downslide in the
Congress has fuelled the ambi-
tions of regional satraps like
Mamata Banerjee who thinks
that her party can edge out the
Congress. Having burnt its fin-
gers by allying with the Con-
gress in UP Assembly elections,
even the Samajwadi Party is not
comfortable in the company of
Congress. None of the opposi-
tion parties want to see the Con-

immediately prorogued the

KASHMIR VALLEY
WINDS OF CHANGE
ashmir, if literally translated,
means land desiccated from
water: “Ka” (the water) and
shimeera(todesiccate).Tradi-
tion says that Kashmir was
originally a lake that was
drained by the great saint of
ancient India Kashyap. It was
included in the empire of
Ashoka Maurya who is cred-
itedwiththefoundationof the
city of Srinagar around the
year 250 BC. During this peri-
od Buddhism spread in Kash-
mir and flourished under the
Kushans, but Hinduism held
itsswayintheregion.Thelast
Hindu ruler of Kashmir was
Udyan Dev but Queen Kota
Rani was the de-facto ruler of
the kingdom. The Hindu rule
in Kashmir came to an end in
1339 with her death and Mus-
lim rule was established un-
derSultanShamas-ud-dinand
his dynasty ruled the valley
for 222 years.
In 1819, Kashmir was an-
nexed by Ranjit Singh and
made a part of his Sikh em-
pire. Later Kashmir transit-
ed from British to DOGRAS
and Maharaja Hari Singh
ruled the state from 1925 to
1952. Maharaja Hari Singh
placed Kashmir under the
dominion of India by execut-
ing an Instrument of Acces-
sion on October 27, 1947. In
1956 Kashmir was integrated
into the Indian Union under
a new Constitution. However,
PoK Kashmir continued to be
under illegal occupation of
Pakistan. Kashmir was a
tourist’s paradise during the
1970’s and early 1980’s. How-
ever, tourism in Kashmir de-
clined during the late 1980’s
and 1990’s, due to terrorism
and disturbances. For years
Article 370 and Article 35A
held the erstwhile state from
achieving its true potential.
However, the Modi- Shah
plan of annulment of Article
370 and the formation of two
new union territories in 2019
has triggered the change and
stabilising with time. The
concerted effort by team Chi-
nar Corps, other security
forces and local people under
the guidance of LG has defi-
nitely stimulated the change.
The government’s recon-
struction plan for Kashmir
with an outlay of approxi-
mately Rs 24,000 crore, in the
fields of infrastructure, edu-
cation, health, civil ameni-
ties, industrial promotion,
employment and income gen-
eration seems to be working
for good. If over six lac tour-
ists pouring into valley since
2021is an indication, then
definitely the valley is wit-
nessing winds of change.
A seamless integration of
security forces and special
Indian Army initiate, the
voices unheard for decades
are finding expression in the
conversations and platforms
being provided to them at
various levels. Discussions
on future of violence-free
Kashmir with integrated
growth paradigms are re-
peated rejection of terrorism
and violence are underlining
themes of these platforms.
The incidents of glorifying a
terrorist killed by SF have
diminished. In a recent case
a lady publically applauding
Army and wishing her son to
be an Army officer only au-
thenticates the change.
Operation Sadbhavana, a
unique humane initiative un-
dertaken by Indian Army in
Kashmir to address aspira-
tions of people affected by
scrooge of terrorism, has pro-
vided succour local popula-
tion of the State and fast be-

reaching out to far flung are-
as for basic needs of water
and electricity
, access to qual-
ity education and basic
health and hygiene the work
by Indian army has been ex-
emplary. Indian Army has
established 46 Army Good-
will Schools and there is a
growing clamour from local
population for opening
schools in almost all corners
of the State. Approximately
14,000 students are currently
enrolled and close to one lakh
children have obtained pri-
mary/higher secondary lev-
els quality education in last
one and half decades of in-
surgency. Many success sto-
ries like of Shamima khatun
of Baramullah, Ifra Sheikh
of Badgam etc, now profes-
sors in the history depart-
ment of Kashmir University,
is a testimony to the positive
change, a society can experi-
ence through the window of
education. Because of these
positive changes the radical
space is shrinking and bigot-
ed ideology is beginning to
take a thorough beating.
The Kashmir valley is now
open for tourism and tourists
are absolutely safe in Kash-
mir. While interacting with
locals in Srigufwara, Shikara
operators in Dal Lake, Shop-
keepers in Badgam, Guides in
Gulmarg or students in Aru

are more interested in their

New Delhi: For the last
eight years, there has
been a major discussion
in India that all the elec-
tions in the country
should be held simulta-
neously
. Prime Minister
Narendra Modi and his
party leaders have reit-
erated this point hun-
dreds of times, but in
reality no effort has
beenmadetoimplement
this idea. The example
of this is the assembly
elections of Himachal
Pradesh and Gujarat.
Both elections are held
at an interval of one
month. The Election
Commissionalsodidnot
conduct the elections of
these two states simulta-
neously
. Similarly
, elec-
tions in Haryana, Maha-
rashtra and Jharkhand
are also held at an inter-
val of one month each.
Therefore, the ques-
tion is whether this time
the elections of
Himachal Pradesh and
Gujarat will be held to-
gether? Last time i.e. in
2017, all 68 seats of
Himachal went to polls
on November 9. Exactly
amonthlater,onDecem-
ber 9, the first phase of
pollingwasheldinGuja-
rat. The second phase of
polling took place on 14
Decemberandthecount-
ing of votes took place
on 18 December. The de-
cisioninthisregardisto
be taken by the Election
Commission and does
not require the approval
of the states. If the Elec-
tion Commission wants,
Gujaratpollscanbeheld
a month earlier in No-
vember along with
Himachal Pradesh. But
it is still a mystery as to
why the EC, which talks
about holding all the
elections together, is un-
able to conduct the elec-
tions of two states si-
multaneously
.
Will HP Guj elections be held simultaneously?

HYDERABAD PUB RAID: ACTOR,
SINGER AMONG 144 DETAINED
Banjara Hills SHO suspended; singer detained was part of ‘drug-free Hyd’ drive
Hyderabad (Agen-
cies): Tollywood actor
Naga Babu’s daughter
and actor Niharika Ko-
nidela and singer Ra-
hul Sipligunj were
among 144 people de-
tained by police for par-
tying at a pub in Hy-
derabad beyond the
stipulated hours.
The pub at Radisson
Blu Hotel in posh Ban-
jara Hills was raided
around 3 am by Task
Force personnel of Hy-
derabad City Police,
who also found cocaine
and other banned sub-
stances from the prem-
ises.
Those found party-
ing also include daugh-
ter of a former Direc-
tor General of Andhra
Pradesh Police and a
son of a MP belonging
to TDP and children of
some other VIPs.
As the police found
some packets of co-
caine and after the
place was raided, some
of those partying threw
away the packets, po-
lice whisked away
those present in the
pub to the nearby Ban-
jara Hills police station
and questioned them.
Ironically, singer
and winner of Big Boss
Telugu reality show
Rahul Sipligunj, who
was among those de-
tained, was part of
“drug-free Hyderabad”
campaign launched by
the police. He sang a
song as part of the
campaign.
Those detained in-
clude 33 women and
some staff members of
the pub, which was
found violating the
rules by allowing the
party beyond permit-
ted hours.
Taking a serious
note of these viola-
tions and the police sta-
tion concerned failing
to act, Hyderabad Po-
lice Commissioner CV
Anand suspended SHO
of Banjara Hills Police
Station and issued a
charge memo to Assis-
tant Commissioner of
Police, Banjara Hills,
M Sudarshan.
New Delhi (Agen-
cies): The Delimita-
tion Commission will
visit Srinagar and
Jammu on April 4 and
5 to hear members of
the public and civil so-
ciety groups who have
submitted sugges-
tions and objections
on its draft delimita-
tion proposal for the
Union territory
.
Around 300 repre-
sentations were re-
ceived by the panel
between March 14,
when it placed its de-
limitation proposal in
the public domain,
and March 21, the last
date for people to sub-
mit objections and
suggestions.
The public hear-
ings will give a chance
to the people and
groups that have filed
objections and sug-
gestions on the pro-
posed reconfiguration
of assembly and par-
liamentary constitu-
encies in JK, to pre-
sent their arguments
before the delimita-
tion panel.
Sources said most
of the representa-
tions received by the
delimitation commis-
sion are from Jammu
(around 60), Anant-
nag (40) and Kupwara
(40). The ones from
Anantnag mostly re-
late to objections re-
garding the proposal
to redraw the Anant-
nag parliamentary
constituency to in-
clude areas from both
Jammu and Kashmir
region and rechris-
ten it as Anantnag-
Rajouri.
Not a single repre-
sentation has been
received from the two
districts of Pulwama
and Shopian, sources
told media.

Played ‘Hanuman Chalisa’, MNS leader held
Mumbai (Agencies):
A Maharashtra
Navnirman Sena
(MNS) leader was tak-
en into police custody
for allegedly playing
‘Hanuman Chalisa’ on
loudspeakers without
permission at the par-
ty office in Mumbai’s
Ghatkopar on Sunday.
“They’ve taken
away my amplifier.
But I’d like to say, in
the coming times, ‘Jai
Shree Ram’ will be
played on loudspeak-
ers,” said Mahendra
Bhanushali while ad-
dressing the media.
Addressing the party
workers on Saturday,
Thackeray had asked
the state government to
remove the loudspeak-
ers from mosques and
warned of putting loud-
speakers in front of the
mosques and playing
‘Hanuman Chalisa’.
Ahmedabad (PTI):
Aam Aadmi Party
(AAP) convenor and
Delhi Chief Minister
Arvind Kejriwal and
his Punjab counter-
part Bhagwant Mann
held several closed-

cal religious and po-
litical leaders and
party representatives
throughout Sunday,
marking the end of
their two-day state vis-
it, ahead of 2022 Guja-

on Saturday evening,

on Sunday morning to

New Delhi (PTI): The
Ministry of Home Af-
fairs (MHA) has written
to states with sizable
numbers of tribal popu-
lation, to set up a sepa-
rate training module to
handle crimes in tribal
areas, sources in the
government said.
The states have been
asked to set up special-
ised training centres
and at-least six to eight
week training must be
given to the cops before
posting them in police
stations in tribal areas.
The police officials
who have been posted
long in these areas
should share their expe-
riences in the training

and training manual of
the States may also be
amended so that the po-

Lucknow: There is no
doubt that the cam-
paign of Modi-Yogi has
been ‘aired’ more in Ut-
tar Pradesh, in place of
the usual Modi-Shah,
both during the election
campaign and after the
results. In the wake of
the BJP’s thumping vic-
tory, it was told, in
many ways, that Amit
Shah played a big role
in the victory of Uttar
Pradesh. The risk that
Amit Shah took by tak-
ing charge of western
Uttar Pradesh and the
Braj region, amid the
anger of the Jats and
the farmers, was cer-
tainly going to turn the
tide of the UP elections.
In fact, that is exactly
from where the victory
path of BJP started. So
Shah has his place and
his role. But Yogi’s stat-
ure has increased and
he is being described as
a contender for the posi-
tion of number two in
the national politics.
But is it really so?
Has Yogi really become
the number two leader
after becoming the
Chief Minister of Uttar
Pradesh for the second
time, a feat not accom-
plished in at least the
last three decades?
Well, truth be told, it is
not so now, since he is
not even a member of
the parliamentary
board of the BJP. There
is only one Chief Minis-
ter in the Parliamenta-
ry Board, the highest
decision making body
in BJP and that is
Shivraj Singh Chou-
han. If Yogi Adityanath
is included in the Par-
liamentary Board, then
it will be a big develop-
ment, which is surely
going to increase his
stature. Notably, new
members are to be nom-
inated in the Parlia-
mentary Board in the
next few days.
At present, the BJP
Parliamentary Board
has only seven members
and except one, the rest
are ex-officio members.
The Party president, the
Prime Minister, the for-
mer Speaker, the Leader
of both the Houses and
the Organisation Gen-
eral Secretary are the
ex-officio members of
the Parliamentary
Board. In this regard,
President JP Nadda,
Prime Minister Naren-
dra Modi, former Presi-
dent- Rajnath Singh,
Nitin Gadkari and Amit
Shah and Organisation
General Secretary BL
Santosh are ex-officio
members. Apart from
these, only Shivraj Sin-
gh Chauhan is the only
member who is not ex-
officio. The Parliamen-
tary Board has previ-
ously had 12 members.
In this context, the posts
of five members are va-
cant. Three members -
Arun Jaitley, Sushma
Swaraj and Ananth Ku-
mar - passed away
, while
VenkaiahNaidubecame
the Vice President and
Thaawarchand Gehlot
became the Governor.
By law, as the leader
of the party in the Rajya
Sabha, Piyush Goyal
should be its member,
but the decision on this
aspect will be taken lat-
er. One woman and one
Dalit or tribal member
will get a place on the
board. Among the wom-
en leaders, the names of
Nirmala Sitharaman
and Smriti Irani are do-
ing the rounds, while
the name of Babulal
Marandi is discussed
from the tribal quota.
Keep in mind that out
of the seven members
of the BJP’s parliamen-
tary board, five are
from the upper castes
and two from the back-
ward castes. So, the
party has to increase

New Delhi: The De-
partment of Revenue’s
new roster for members
of the Central Board of
Indirect Taxes Cus-
toms (CBIC) has caused
a bit of surprise.
The surprise is
caused by the appoint-
ment of Sanjay Kumar
Agarwal (IRS
CCE:1988) as the mem-
ber in charge of compli-
ance management as
well as the supervising
authority of DG of DRI
and DG of GST Intelli-
gence - two critical posi-
tions. Previously, DRI
was under Balesh Ku-
mar.
Earlier, even though
Agarwal was appointed
as a Member of CBIC,
he was put on wait for
an assignment. Howev-
er, a month later on
31/03/2022, the govt al-
located him critical
portfolios.
Agarwal’s new port-
folios caused a change
in the assignments of
three members retiring
within the next six
months. DP Nagendra
and Balesh Kumar and
Sandeep Kumar will re-
tire in July, August
October respectively.
The remaining 4-6
months of their residu-
al service would be con-
sumed in familiarizing
themselves with new
subjects.
It is said that by ap-
pointing Agarwal as the
boss of all revenue in-
telligence operations,
the administration has
shown its preference
for an officer with the
maximum residual ser-
vice. This preference of
the administration in
favor of officers with
the maximum residual
service was earlier re-
flected in the appoint-
ment of Rajeev Talwar
as a member.

New Delhi: Assembly

Keep in mind that As-

That’s why many state
Congress leaders are
saying that elections
can be held with them

matter has been chal-
lenged in the SC after
the High Court’s ban on
wearing hijab in school-
college. Meanwhile, the
govt has started imple-
menting the decision of
the HC. Because of this,
the girl students had to
remove hijab during the
exams or had to skip it.
A BJP MLA has raised
another issue. He ap-

Make your car loan
A JOY RIDE
Buying
a car is a watershed
moment in one’s life. Perhaps
it is a decision in which the entire
family participates, and the opinions of
close family and friends are sought before
making a final decision. One must not
forget that even though car is an asset, but
it is also a liability till the time the loan
period is going on. Hence, one must not
choose a loan in ad-hoc manner, but
rather keep the following points
in mind when opting for
a loan.
RIGHT LOAN AMOUNT
For a car loan, remember that the
average loan amount tends to be
in the range of 75-85% of the car
value. Although funding of up to
100% is available in the market, as
a customer, you should try to keep
the loan amount as per your specific
need. This is crucial as higher funding
would lead to higher EMI and interest
paid over the period. The prudence
of identifying the right loan amount
can ensure your loan repayment is a
pleasant experience.
CHOOSE A LOAN THAT
SUITS YOUR NEEDS
Most customers tend to look at the
interest rate and other charges only
while considering a loan financer.
Some other finer points must be
considered too, such as customer
service, loan processing time, a
hassle-free process — all crucial
factors that we tend to overlook. It
is vital to remember that the key is
getting a loan within a stipulated
time. Evaluating the different rates is
advised before you take a loan. Many
websites offer easy EMI calculators.
DO NOT LIMIT YOUR CHOICES
You can avail of new car loans as well as loans
for pre-owned cars. Just because everyone you
know is buying a new car does not mean you
do the same. If you want a particular car, but
you are worried that a new car may burn a hole
in your pocket, you can then look at pre-owned
car options. The pre-owned car space is rapidly
getting more organised with easy finance avail-
able at attractive rates. Further, point to note is
that in pre-owned car, now-a-days, warranty is
also provided by Organized Car Dealers which
can further provide you comfort in owning the
same.
THE DEVIL LIES IN DETAIL
What interest rate to pay and the tenure of the
loan is key metrices to be assessed before
committing to a car loan. While a tenure of
up to 7 years is available in the market, one
must only take a car loan for a period that one
is comfortable with. Also, a crucial factor to
note while determining EMI payment for a car
loan is to check if other existing loan EMIs are
manageable for you to service. As an informed
customer, one should always check if the finan-
cier/lender is charging any foreclosure charges.
There are multiple financiers who do not charge
foreclosure after a specified period of the loan
is completed.
ARE YOU A PRE-APPROVED
CUSTOMER?
Being a healthy customer of a bank comes with
certain advantages. If you are a good customer
of your existing bank, then chances are more that
you may have a pre-approved car loan under your
name. Availing of pre-approved car loans is usually
easy and efficient with the least paperwork and
time.
A HEALTHY CREDIT SCORE =
FASTER PROCESSING
APPROVAL
Maintaining a healthy Credit Score is of utmost im-
portance; more so when you seek faster approvals
and loan processing. Having a credit score greater
than 750 helps you secure the best of terms and
speaks well of your financial fitness. Your bank
tends to trust you as a reliable borrower. It is
noteworthy that one can enjoy better interest rate
and/or a higher sanction of the loan amount, given
higher credit score.
It’s important that you
buy your car from a dealer who has
a healthy relationship with a bank that
can offer you finance deals. Car dealers have
different tie-ups with different lenders. Accurate
and complete documentation must be ensured to
have a hassle-free experience.
While availing of a car loan, make informed
decisions. Scrutinize. You can bag a customized
deal. Research thoroughly. Show up prepared so
that you are in the best position to get a best-
rate loan. Thoroughly review your options,
understand the nuances before you sign on
the dotted line.
The applicant needs to decide the car
model at first. Then the bank will provide
a maximum of the funding based on the
price of the car model. Once this is done,
the applicant will have to insure and
hypothecate the car for further safety. It
is then that the interest rate is decided
and the process of EMI is ascertained.
EMI should be paid without any failure
to ensure the car doesn’t get repossessed.
HOW TO AVAIL CAR LOAN?
 KNOW YOUR BUDGET: It is very important to know your
budget well to know what kind of car you can afford. You
should evaluate the expenses that will incur the moment you
will apply for a car loan such as car maintenance costs, car
registration cost, etc.
 PLAN THE AMOUNT TO REPAY: According to your budget,
plan the monthly instalment amount that will go into paying
back the amount.
 GET APPROVED FIRST: Just before you are ready to shop
for the car of your choice, get it approved.
 GO FOR CAR SHOPPING: This is the last step when you are
ready to shop for the car of your choice. Remember to
purchase a car that fits your budget.
 AVAIL OFFERS DISCOUNTS: Deciding upon the right
time to purchase the car especially during the year
ending and festive season can help you gain heavy
discounts as banks offer low-interest rates,
waivers on processing fees and other offers
during these times. Watch out for of-
fers and discounts during festive
seasons.
Disclaimer: This is general
information for the
readers. For a
particular car loan,
readers are
advised to
contact the
concerned
bank.
HOW DOES CAR
LOAN WORK?
Car loans can be availed
through different modes.
1) Directly visit the bank
branch. 2) Apply online
through your bank’s internet/
mobile banking portal. 3) Get the
financing through the car dealer.
The bank you choose will collect your
documents and initiate the application
processing, which includes checking your
CIBIL score, the value of the asset (vehicle),
eligibility conditions, and more, and then give a
decision on your loan application based on the
evaluation results.

POSTAL REG NO. JPC/004/2022-24
First India Bureau
Jaipur/Barmer: CM
Ashok Gehlot on Sun-
day said that police
should identify the ele-
ments involved in any
incident anywhere in
the state and take strict
action against them.
The criminal, irrespec-
tive of religion, caste
or class, should not be
spared if he is found to
be involved in the
crime, he said in a
high-level review meet-
ing of Karauli situa-
tion at CMR on Sunday
.
In Barmer, CM Ge-
hlot blamed the poli-
cies of the Centre and
the BJP for the tension
in the name of caste
and religion in the
country and targeted
the BJP and the Yogi
govt. Gehlot attributed
the mobilization on re-
ligious grounds behind
the Karauli and Bea-
war incidents.
Gehlot said that PM
should appeal that po-
larization in the name
of caste and religion is
not right. “Because of
this, there is tension
everywhere in the
country. The Karauli
incident is in front of
you. Today there was a
fight in Beawar over a
small matter and one
person was murdered,”
he said.
“Hardcore criminals
should be identified at
every police station
level and strict action
shouldbetakenagainst
them. Create an atmos-
phere of peace among
different communities
with the help of CLG
and promote commu-
nity policing,” he di-
rected the officials.

CM Gehlot to the
officials in meeting
at CMR on Sunday
While targeting the Yogi govt and BJP in UP,
Gehlot said, “Your approach to govern-
ance does not get attention. They do politics
only by creating perceptions.” Talking to the
media in Barmer, Gehlot said that in UP, the
bulldozer was the only election symbol. “Fake
encounters happened. This was projected as if
the CM there took a big action. It is very easy
to do fake encounters, but the country will
run when there is rule of law,” he said. Gehlot
added that innocent people could also die in a
fake encounter. The law mentions that no mat-
ter how big a criminal is, get him hanged and
punishment as per the rule of law.
YOUR APPROACH TO GOVERNANCE
DOES NOT GET ATTENTION: GEHLOT
TAKES A JIBE AT YOGI GOVT AND BJP
Mukesh Mathrani
Barmer: CM Ashok
Gehlot was on a two-
day visit to Barmer on
Sunday lashed out at
BJP and Modi govt.
Talking to a media in
Barmer, CM said that
‘Congress free’ India
will never happen, but
those chanting this,
will definitely get free.
The CM said that the
situation of the coun-
try in the Modi era is
very critical and the
people are getting be-
trayed again and again.
Gehlot said that de-
feat in an election does
not mean that Con-
gress is losing its exist-
ence. Gehlot said that
ahead of the election
of 5 states, everybody
knew that prices of
petrol and diesel will
not increase but they
were damn sure that it
will rapidly increase
soon after the elections
and now we are wit-
nessing it.
CM said that people
should now under-
stand the governance
policy of the Modi govt
as they are using the
system for their bene-
fits only. He said that
due to such policies of
the Narendra Modi
govt people are suffer-
ing from inflation.

Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot’s visit to
Barmer was special in many ways.
Known as the Gandhi of Marwar,
Gehlot is well acquainted with the
politics of Malani. In the politics
of Rajasthan, the land of Barmer
was strong, many veterans came
out from here and achieved a posi-
tion in the politics of the country
and the state. In the last assembly
elections, except for Siwana seat,
Congress had won 8 out of 9 seats
in Barmer district. Obviously, the
visit of
CM Gehlot
has shown
that the
Congress has kept its eyes on the
border area.
Gehlot’s tours have started in
the state and this can be a cause of
concern for the BJP, the main Op-
position party of the state. In the
LS elections, the Barmer-Jaisalm-
er LS seat and Jodhpur LS seat did
not come in the hands of the Con-
gress. Narendra Modi himself ad-
dressed the election meeting in
both Barmer and Jodhpur.
Barmer and Jaisalmer contrib-
uted 100% in the formation of Ge-
hlot’s govt. When a rebellion broke
out within Congress, then his sup-
porters had turned to Jaisalmer.

Jaipur: At the begin-
ning of his address,
Gehlot said that he was
not there to deliver a
speech but to gossip.
He called Shaheen Ali
“man of the match” for
today. “Shaheen Ali’s
words tell about his
personality. He made
very good comments,
in a good tone. Earlier,
I thought he was a gul-

very smart man,” he
said. He said that he
was called anti-em-
ployee in 1998 by the
state employees and a
lot was said against
him but he always
tried to give what was
demanded by the em-
ployees. Praising the
finance dept team led
by principal secy Akh-
il Arora for preparing
an excellent budget,
Gehlot said that such
an amazing budget
could be possible be-
cause of the team and
its efforts. He said that
it was because of him
that the officers were
promoted to DIG. He
said that posts of DG
are limited therefore
posts are given by cre-
ating ex-cadre. “My
commitment is that
every person should
get promotion on time
that is why provision
of 2 DPCs was made
every year,” he said.

Chandra expressed
his gratitude for these
words of the CM.
However, these positive
comments of Gehlot
created a new stir in the
media and administra-
tive areas. CM equated
RHB commissioner
Pawan Arora with his
elder brother Jagdeesh
Chandra and said that
they are better than
each other and termed
them “experts in their
fields.” “Dr Manmohan
Singh was PM, Pranab
Mukherjee was the
President and Jagdeesh
(Chandra) is going
on tour with them.
He comes at 5 in the
morning and returns
with the President at
6 in the evening. Such
a person is difficult to
find. And he maintains
his standard, whether
it is Congress or BJP.
He will say that he is
with the government
and not with anyone
else, so there cannot be
any complaints. He is
with the Chief Minister
whether it is Vasund-
hara ji or Ashok Gehlot,
for him all are equal.
This is also a politics in
which he is efficient and
successful. If Jagdeesh
Chandra has any weak-
ness, it is his brother
Pawan Arora and sister
Sushma Arora. He
has great place for his
siblings in his heart and
this is also a merit for a
person that he worries
for his sister,” CM said.

HAND OVER IAS CLUB RESPONSIBILITY TO ARORA: CM TO CS
In the event, the CM praised the RAS club. He suggested CS Usha Sharma to
hand over the responsibility of the IAS club to Pawan Arora, RAS club patron.
Sharma is 3rd such CS in front of whom the CM has said that “you were left be-
hind in making IAS club”. Later, CM Gehlot, CS Sharma and RHB commissioner
Pawan Arora held separate talks about IAS club. CM wished for tea following
which Arora took the CM to the restaurant to see which Gehlot was impressed.
He liked samosa, kachori and praised Arora. Arora introduced restaurant’s chef to
Gehlot who gave him a tip of Rs 500. CM was also introduced to club’s manager
and retired RAS Surendra Udawat. Gehlot hailed tennis and badminton courts on
rooftop and asked Pawan Arora how he got the idea. Arora informed the CM that
similar rooftop sports facilities were also developed at Constitution club. Earlier,
Gehlot had told this to DB Gupta in the program of RHB at Birla Auditorium, “You
lag behind in forming a club while Pawan Arora has made a great club for RAS.
Gehlot had said the same thing to Rajiva Swarup when he was CS.

Some people, eager for money, have wandered from the faith and pierced themselves with many griefs. —Bible IN-DEPTH FORGET OPPN UNITY, STALIN’S DELHI VISIT MADE FOR A GOOD PHOTO OPPORTUNITY amil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin used his Delhi visit to bring opposition par- tiestogethertoputup a united fight against the BJP . He took the initiative as the Con- gress, which is DMK’s ally in Ta- mil Nadu, is unable to put its house in order. Sonia Gandhi’s presence at the event may not mean much as also present were Samajwadi Party’s Akhilesh Ya- dav, representatives of Trina- mool Congress, Telugu Desam Party and Sitaram Yechury (CPI- M) --- who are averse to sharing a political front with the Congress. The gradual downslide in the Congress has fuelled the ambi- tions of regional satraps like Mamata Banerjee who thinks that her party can edge out the Congress. Having burnt its fin- gers by allying with the Con- gress in UP Assembly elections, even the Samajwadi Party is not comfortable in the company of Congress. None of the opposi- tion parties want to see the Con- gress in the leadership role. TOP TWEETS T akistan plunged into a constitu- tional crisis after Prime Minister Imran Khan ducked a floor test with the help of National Assembly’s deputy speaker who dis- missed the no-trust motion on the ground that it was part of a “foreign conspiracy” against the government. He immediately prorogued the House. Imran Khan, who did not attend the Assembly, im- mediately recommended dis- solution of the Assemblies and President Arif Alvi wasted no time to order fresh elections within 90 days. The move by Imran Khan stumped the opposition par- ties who had stacked num- bers to vote out the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf party, something which has never happened in Pakistan’s cheq- uered history . The twist in Pakistan’s po- litical tale did not end there. As opposition members be- gan a dharna inside the House, outside the Pakistan Supreme Court took suo motu cognizance of the dis- solution. A special bench has been formed and the hearing will begin from Monday to decide if the dissolution of the Assembly without even a discussion on the no-trust motion violated the constitu- tion. That implies that Imran Khan is not off the hook yet. Pakistani army establish- ment has decided not to step in to sort things out just yet. There is apprehension, how- ever, that if there is too much of violence it could move in. Imran has cited US inter- ference in Pakistan’s affairs. He alleged that the no-trust motion was introduced a day after a meeting in which American officials and a Pa- kistani senator were present. Not many in Pakistan are willing to buy that argument. IMRAN DUCKS, BUT HAS TO FACE THE SC A special bench has been formed and the hearing will begin from Monday to decide if the dissolution of the Assembly without even a discussion on the no-trust motion violated constitution. That implies that Imran Khan is not off the hook yet P KASHMIR VALLEY WINDS OF CHANGE ashmir, if literally translated, means land desiccated from water: “Ka” (the water) and shimeera(todesiccate).Tradi- tion says that Kashmir was originally a lake that was drained by the great saint of ancient India Kashyap. It was included in the empire of Ashoka Maurya who is cred- itedwiththefoundationof the city of Srinagar around the year 250 BC. During this peri- od Buddhism spread in Kash- mir and flourished under the Kushans, but Hinduism held itsswayintheregion.Thelast Hindu ruler of Kashmir was Udyan Dev but Queen Kota Rani was the de-facto ruler of the kingdom. The Hindu rule in Kashmir came to an end in 1339 with her death and Mus- lim rule was established un- derSultanShamas-ud-dinand his dynasty ruled the valley for 222 years. In 1819, Kashmir was an- nexed by Ranjit Singh and made a part of his Sikh em- pire. Later Kashmir transit- ed from British to DOGRAS and Maharaja Hari Singh ruled the state from 1925 to 1952. Maharaja Hari Singh placed Kashmir under the dominion of India by execut- ing an Instrument of Acces- sion on October 27, 1947. In 1956 Kashmir was integrated into the Indian Union under a new Constitution. However, PoK Kashmir continued to be under illegal occupation of Pakistan. Kashmir was a tourist’s paradise during the 1970’s and early 1980’s. How- ever, tourism in Kashmir de- clined during the late 1980’s and 1990’s, due to terrorism and disturbances. For years Article 370 and Article 35A held the erstwhile state from achieving its true potential. However, the Modi- Shah plan of annulment of Article 370 and the formation of two new union territories in 2019 has triggered the change and stabilising with time. The concerted effort by team Chi- nar Corps, other security forces and local people under the guidance of LG has defi- nitely stimulated the change. The government’s recon- struction plan for Kashmir with an outlay of approxi- mately Rs 24,000 crore, in the fields of infrastructure, edu- cation, health, civil ameni- ties, industrial promotion, employment and income gen- eration seems to be working for good. If over six lac tour- ists pouring into valley since 2021is an indication, then definitely the valley is wit- nessing winds of change. A seamless integration of security forces and special Indian Army initiate, the voices unheard for decades are finding expression in the conversations and platforms being provided to them at various levels. Discussions on future of violence-free Kashmir with integrated growth paradigms are re- peated rejection of terrorism and violence are underlining themes of these platforms. The incidents of glorifying a terrorist killed by SF have diminished. In a recent case a lady publically applauding Army and wishing her son to be an Army officer only au- thenticates the change. Operation Sadbhavana, a unique humane initiative un- dertaken by Indian Army in Kashmir to address aspira- tions of people affected by scrooge of terrorism, has pro- vided succour local popula- tion of the State and fast be- coming a landmark scheme for good of common people. Be it guarding Dharohar of Ashokas time, relentless ser- vice during floods in 2014 or reaching out to far flung are- as for basic needs of water and electricity , access to qual- ity education and basic health and hygiene the work by Indian army has been ex- emplary. Indian Army has established 46 Army Good- will Schools and there is a growing clamour from local population for opening schools in almost all corners of the State. Approximately 14,000 students are currently enrolled and close to one lakh children have obtained pri- mary/higher secondary lev- els quality education in last one and half decades of in- surgency. Many success sto- ries like of Shamima khatun of Baramullah, Ifra Sheikh of Badgam etc, now profes- sors in the history depart- ment of Kashmir University, is a testimony to the positive change, a society can experi- ence through the window of education. Because of these positive changes the radical space is shrinking and bigot- ed ideology is beginning to take a thorough beating. The Kashmir valley is now open for tourism and tourists are absolutely safe in Kash- mir. While interacting with locals in Srigufwara, Shikara operators in Dal Lake, Shop- keepers in Badgam, Guides in Gulmarg or students in Aru Valley , it emerged that people are more interested in their livelihood, growth and educa- tionratherthandisturbances. INDIA JAIPUR | MONDAY,APRIL 4, 2022 06 www.firstindia.co.in I https://firstindia.co.in/epapers/jaipur I twitter.com/thefirstindia I facebook.com/thefirstindia I instagram.com/thefirstindia First India Bureau New Delhi: For the last eight years, there has been a major discussion in India that all the elec- tions in the country should be held simulta- neously . Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his party leaders have reit- erated this point hun- dreds of times, but in reality no effort has beenmadetoimplement this idea. The example of this is the assembly elections of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat. Both elections are held at an interval of one month. The Election Commissionalsodidnot conduct the elections of these two states simulta- neously . Similarly , elec- tions in Haryana, Maha- rashtra and Jharkhand are also held at an inter- val of one month each. Therefore, the ques- tion is whether this time the elections of Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat will be held to- gether? Last time i.e. in 2017, all 68 seats of Himachal went to polls on November 9. Exactly amonthlater,onDecem- ber 9, the first phase of pollingwasheldinGuja- rat. The second phase of polling took place on 14 Decemberandthecount- ing of votes took place on 18 December. The de- cisioninthisregardisto be taken by the Election Commission and does not require the approval of the states. If the Elec- tion Commission wants, Gujaratpollscanbeheld a month earlier in No- vember along with Himachal Pradesh. But it is still a mystery as to why the EC, which talks about holding all the elections together, is un- able to conduct the elec- tions of two states si- multaneously . Will HP Guj elections be held simultaneously? ONE NATION ONE ELECTION! HYDERABAD PUB RAID: ACTOR, SINGER AMONG 144 DETAINED Banjara Hills SHO suspended; singer detained was part of ‘drug-free Hyd’ drive Hyderabad (Agen- cies): Tollywood actor Naga Babu’s daughter and actor Niharika Ko- nidela and singer Ra- hul Sipligunj were among 144 people de- tained by police for par- tying at a pub in Hy- derabad beyond the stipulated hours. The pub at Radisson Blu Hotel in posh Ban- jara Hills was raided around 3 am by Task Force personnel of Hy- derabad City Police, who also found cocaine and other banned sub- stances from the prem- ises. Those found party- ing also include daugh- ter of a former Direc- tor General of Andhra Pradesh Police and a son of a MP belonging to TDP and children of some other VIPs. As the police found some packets of co- caine and after the place was raided, some of those partying threw away the packets, po- lice whisked away those present in the pub to the nearby Ban- jara Hills police station and questioned them. Ironically, singer and winner of Big Boss Telugu reality show Rahul Sipligunj, who was among those de- tained, was part of “drug-free Hyderabad” campaign launched by the police. He sang a song as part of the campaign. Those detained in- clude 33 women and some staff members of the pub, which was found violating the rules by allowing the party beyond permit- ted hours. Taking a serious note of these viola- tions and the police sta- tion concerned failing to act, Hyderabad Po- lice Commissioner CV Anand suspended SHO of Banjara Hills Police Station and issued a charge memo to Assis- tant Commissioner of Police, Banjara Hills, M Sudarshan. New Delhi (Agen- cies): The Delimita- tion Commission will visit Srinagar and Jammu on April 4 and 5 to hear members of the public and civil so- ciety groups who have submitted sugges- tions and objections on its draft delimita- tion proposal for the Union territory . Around 300 repre- sentations were re- ceived by the panel between March 14, when it placed its de- limitation proposal in the public domain, and March 21, the last date for people to sub- mit objections and suggestions. The public hear- ings will give a chance to the people and groups that have filed objections and sug- gestions on the pro- posed reconfiguration of assembly and par- liamentary constitu- encies in JK, to pre- sent their arguments before the delimita- tion panel. Sources said most of the representa- tions received by the delimitation commis- sion are from Jammu (around 60), Anant- nag (40) and Kupwara (40). The ones from Anantnag mostly re- late to objections re- garding the proposal to redraw the Anant- nag parliamentary constituency to in- clude areas from both Jammu and Kashmir region and rechris- ten it as Anantnag- Rajouri. Not a single repre- sentation has been received from the two districts of Pulwama and Shopian, sources told media. Public hearings on JK delimitation draft today Played ‘Hanuman Chalisa’, MNS leader held Mumbai (Agencies): A Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) leader was tak- en into police custody for allegedly playing ‘Hanuman Chalisa’ on loudspeakers without permission at the par- ty office in Mumbai’s Ghatkopar on Sunday. “They’ve taken away my amplifier. But I’d like to say, in the coming times, ‘Jai Shree Ram’ will be played on loudspeak- ers,” said Mahendra Bhanushali while ad- dressing the media. Addressing the party workers on Saturday, Thackeray had asked the state government to remove the loudspeak- ers from mosques and warned of putting loud- speakers in front of the mosques and playing ‘Hanuman Chalisa’. Ahmedabad (PTI): Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) convenor and Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and his Punjab counter- part Bhagwant Mann held several closed- door meetings with lo- cal religious and po- litical leaders and party representatives throughout Sunday, marking the end of their two-day state vis- it, ahead of 2022 Guja- rat Vidhansabha polls. After their road- show in Ahmedabad on Saturday evening, Kejriwal and Mann ar- rived at Swami Naray- an Temple in Shahiba- ug area of Ahmedabad on Sunday morning to seek blessings from Lord Swami Narayan. The temple visit was then followed by sever- al closed-door meetings of Delhi CM Arvind Ke- jriwal with social, reli- gious, and political leaders of Gujarat. Guj: Kejriwal, Mann meet religious, political leaders New Delhi (PTI): The Ministry of Home Af- fairs (MHA) has written to states with sizable numbers of tribal popu- lation, to set up a sepa- rate training module to handle crimes in tribal areas, sources in the government said. The states have been asked to set up special- ised training centres and at-least six to eight week training must be given to the cops before posting them in police stations in tribal areas. The police officials who have been posted long in these areas should share their expe- riences in the training centres about the ap- proaches to handle crimes in tribal areas and training manual of the States may also be amended so that the po- lice officers are made aware of local tradi- tions, the officials said. States asked to set up separate training module in tribal areas Sharat K Verma Lucknow: There is no doubt that the cam- paign of Modi-Yogi has been ‘aired’ more in Ut- tar Pradesh, in place of the usual Modi-Shah, both during the election campaign and after the results. In the wake of the BJP’s thumping vic- tory, it was told, in many ways, that Amit Shah played a big role in the victory of Uttar Pradesh. The risk that Amit Shah took by tak- ing charge of western Uttar Pradesh and the Braj region, amid the anger of the Jats and the farmers, was cer- tainly going to turn the tide of the UP elections. In fact, that is exactly from where the victory path of BJP started. So Shah has his place and his role. But Yogi’s stat- ure has increased and he is being described as a contender for the posi- tion of number two in the national politics. But is it really so? Has Yogi really become the number two leader after becoming the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh for the second time, a feat not accom- plished in at least the last three decades? Well, truth be told, it is not so now, since he is not even a member of the parliamentary board of the BJP. There is only one Chief Minis- ter in the Parliamenta- ry Board, the highest decision making body in BJP and that is Shivraj Singh Chou- han. If Yogi Adityanath is included in the Par- liamentary Board, then it will be a big develop- ment, which is surely going to increase his stature. Notably, new members are to be nom- inated in the Parlia- mentary Board in the next few days. At present, the BJP Parliamentary Board has only seven members and except one, the rest are ex-officio members. The Party president, the Prime Minister, the for- mer Speaker, the Leader of both the Houses and the Organisation Gen- eral Secretary are the ex-officio members of the Parliamentary Board. In this regard, President JP Nadda, Prime Minister Naren- dra Modi, former Presi- dent- Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari and Amit Shah and Organisation General Secretary BL Santosh are ex-officio members. Apart from these, only Shivraj Sin- gh Chauhan is the only member who is not ex- officio. The Parliamen- tary Board has previ- ously had 12 members. In this context, the posts of five members are va- cant. Three members - Arun Jaitley, Sushma Swaraj and Ananth Ku- mar - passed away , while VenkaiahNaidubecame the Vice President and Thaawarchand Gehlot became the Governor. By law, as the leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha, Piyush Goyal should be its member, but the decision on this aspect will be taken lat- er. One woman and one Dalit or tribal member will get a place on the board. Among the wom- en leaders, the names of Nirmala Sitharaman and Smriti Irani are do- ing the rounds, while the name of Babulal Marandi is discussed from the tribal quota. Keep in mind that out of the seven members of the BJP’s parliamen- tary board, five are from the upper castes and two from the back- ward castes. So, the party has to increase the representation of the backward castes, bring in Dalit and Adi- vasi members and com- pulsorily have a woman on the board. If Parlia- mentary Board mem- bers are appointed on this scale then it will be difficult for Yogi to go to this apex body. If the Prime Minister makes him a member regard- less of the equation, then the way for him to become number two will be cleared. Will Yogi be included in BJP Parliamentary Board? The surprise is caused by the appoint- ment of Sanjay Kumar Agarwal (IRS CCE:1988) as the mem- ber in charge of compli- ance management as well as the supervising authority of DG of DRI and DG of GST Intelli- gence - two critical posi- tions. Previously, DRI was under Balesh Ku- mar. Earlier, even though Agarwal was appointed as a Member of CBIC, he was put on wait for an assignment. Howev- er, a month later on 31/03/2022, the govt al- located him critical portfolios. Agarwal’s new port- folios caused a change in the assignments of three members retiring within the next six months. DP Nagendra and Balesh Kumar and Sandeep Kumar will re- tire in July, August October respectively. The remaining 4-6 months of their residu- al service would be con- sumed in familiarizing themselves with new subjects. It is said that by ap- pointing Agarwal as the boss of all revenue in- telligence operations, the administration has shown its preference for an officer with the maximum residual ser- vice. This preference of the administration in favor of officers with the maximum residual service was earlier re- flected in the appoint- ment of Rajeev Talwar as a member. Mahesh Sharma New Delhi: Assembly elections are going to be held in Karnataka in May next year, but be- fore that the discussion has intensified that As- sembly elections can be held later this year. Keep in mind that As- sembly elections are go- ing to be held in two states Himachal Pradesh and Gujarat at the end of the year. That’s why many state Congress leaders are saying that elections can be held with them in Karnataka too. Kar- nataka Congress Presi- dent DK Shivakumar has claimed that elec- tion will be announced on November 27. Keep in mind that communal politics in State is at its peak. The row over hi- jab is still going on. This matter has been chal- lenged in the SC after the High Court’s ban on wearing hijab in school- college. Meanwhile, the govt has started imple- menting the decision of the HC. Because of this, the girl students had to remove hijab during the exams or had to skip it. A BJP MLA has raised another issue. He ap- pealed to Hindus not to eat Halal meat. The row overhijabandhalalmeat has increased. Only the Congress suspect that to take advantage of this politics of polarisation, polls may be pushed ahead of time. BJP opens not just doors, but heart as well for turncoats,Cong leaders! Moni Sharma New Delhi: Untilrecent- ly , the Bharatiya Janata Party was considered a party , where no outsider could enter easily . Ideo- logically , commitment and training for the RashtriyaSwayamsevak Sanghwasconsideredes- sential. But now it is not so. Now the doors of the BJP are open for leaders of all the parties and the BJP is giving the mes- sage that whoever leaves hisorherpartyandjoins the BJP , they will be giv- enimportantposition. In the Northeast, this mes- sage was given by the BJPlongback, asaresult of which many stalwart leaders left the Congress and joined the BJP and one is now the CM of the State. Himanta Biswa Sar- ma,PemaKhanduandN Biren Singh have previ- ously been in the Con- gress, who are now CM. In the Assembly elec- tions of five states, the way the BJP has given tickets to the leaders of Congress and other par- ties and the number of posts BJP has accorded is astonishing. Jitin Prasada, who joined the BJP just before the UP Assembly elections, has beengivenahugeportfo- lio like road construc- tion, which was with Keshav Prasad Maurya, the deputy CM in the previous government. More than half of the State’s Cabinet Minis- ters are outsiders or be- long to an ally party . There are only seven Cabinet Ministers who have already been asso- ciatedwiththeBJP . Sim- ilarly ,inGoa,theteamof eight Ministers along with the CM has only two Ministers, who were earlierintheBJP . Of the remaining six, four are leaders from the Con- gress and two others are allies. In this way , BJP has opened up not only its doors, but its heart too for Congress leaders in other states as well.             THE NEW CBIC ROSTER IS AS FOLLOWS Judge killed, colleague injured in accident in MP Chhatarpur (PTI): A judge posted in a court in Chhatarpur district in Madhya Pradesh was killed while his col- league was seriously injured when their car collided with a tractor- trolley on Sunday . Make your carloan A JOY RIDE Buying a car is a watershed moment in one’s life. Perhaps it is a decision in which the entire family participates, and the opinions of close family and friends are sought before making a final decision. One must not forget that even though car is an asset, but it is also a liability till the time the loan period is going on. Hence, one must not choose a loan in ad-hoc manner, but rather keep the following points in mind when opting for a loan. RIGHT LOAN AMOUNT For a car loan, remember that the average loan amount tends to be in the range of 75-85% of the car value. Although funding of up to 100% is available in the market, as a customer, you should try to keep the loan amount as per your specific need. This is crucial as higher funding would lead to higher EMI and interest paid over the period. The prudence of identifying the right loan amount can ensure your loan repayment is a pleasant experience. CHOOSE A LOAN THAT SUITS YOUR NEEDS Most customers tend to look at the interest rate and other charges only while considering a loan financer. Some other finer points must be considered too, such as customer service, loan processing time, a hassle-free process — all crucial factors that we tend to overlook. It is vital to remember that the key is getting a loan within a stipulated time. Evaluating the different rates is advised before you take a loan. Many websites offer easy EMI calculators. DO NOT LIMIT YOUR CHOICES You can avail of new car loans as well as loans for pre-owned cars. Just because everyone you know is buying a new car does not mean you do the same. If you want a particular car, but you are worried that a new car may burn a hole in your pocket, you can then look at pre-owned car options. The pre-owned car space is rapidly getting more organised with easy finance avail- able at attractive rates. Further, point to note is that in pre-owned car, now-a-days, warranty is also provided by Organized Car Dealers which can further provide you comfort in owning the same. THE DEVIL LIES IN DETAIL What interest rate to pay and the tenure of the loan is key metrices to be assessed before committing to a car loan. While a tenure of up to 7 years is available in the market, one must only take a car loan for a period that one is comfortable with. Also, a crucial factor to note while determining EMI payment for a car loan is to check if other existing loan EMIs are manageable for you to service. As an informed customer, one should always check if the finan- cier/lender is charging any foreclosure charges. There are multiple financiers who do not charge foreclosure after a specified period of the loan is completed. ARE YOU A PRE-APPROVED CUSTOMER? Being a healthy customer of a bank comes with certain advantages. If you are a good customer of your existing bank, then chances are more that you may have a pre-approved car loan under your name. Availing of pre-approved car loans is usually easy and efficient with the least paperwork and time. A HEALTHY CREDIT SCORE = FASTER PROCESSING APPROVAL Maintaining a healthy Credit Score is of utmost im- portance; more so when you seek faster approvals and loan processing. Having a credit score greater than 750 helps you secure the best of terms and speaks well of your financial fitness. Your bank tends to trust you as a reliable borrower. It is noteworthy that one can enjoy better interest rate and/or a higher sanction of the loan amount, given higher credit score. It’s important that you buy your car from a dealer who has a healthy relationship with a bank that can offer you finance deals. Car dealers have different tie-ups with different lenders. Accurate and complete documentation must be ensured to have a hassle-free experience. While availing of a car loan, make informed decisions. Scrutinize. You can bag a customized deal. Research thoroughly. Show up prepared so that you are in the best position to get a best- rate loan. Thoroughly review your options, understand the nuances before you sign on the dotted line. The applicant needs to decide the car model at first. Then the bank will provide a maximum of the funding based on the price of the car model. Once this is done, the applicant will have to insure and hypothecate the car for further safety. It is then that the interest rate is decided and the process of EMI is ascertained. EMI should be paid without any failure to ensure the car doesn’t get repossessed. HOW TO AVAIL CAR LOAN?  KNOW YOUR BUDGET: It is very important to know your budget well to know what kind of car you can afford. You should evaluate the expenses that will incur the moment you will apply for a car loan such as car maintenance costs, car registration cost, etc.  PLAN THE AMOUNT TO REPAY: According to your budget, plan the monthly instalment amount that will go into paying back the amount.  GET APPROVED FIRST: Just before you are ready to shop for the car of your choice, get it approved.  GO FOR CAR SHOPPING: This is the last step when you are ready to shop for the car of your choice. Remember to purchase a car that fits your budget.  AVAIL OFFERS DISCOUNTS: Deciding upon the right time to purchase the car especially during the year ending and festive season can help you gain heavy discounts as banks offer low-interest rates, waivers on processing fees and other offers during these times. Watch out for of- fers and discounts during festive seasons. Disclaimer: This is general information for the readers. For a particular car loan, readers are advised to contact the concerned bank. HOW DOES CAR LOAN WORK? Car loans can be availed through different modes. 1) Directly visit the bank branch. 2) Apply online through your bank’s internet/ mobile banking portal. 3) Get the financing through the car dealer. The bank you choose will collect your documents and initiate the application processing, which includes checking your CIBIL score, the value of the asset (vehicle), eligibility conditions, and more, and then give a decision on your loan application based on the evaluation results. Gehlot blames policies of the Centre BJP for tension in name of caste and religion Use CLG and the community policing for peace among different communities, says CM Gehlot to the officials in meeting at CMR on Sunday While targeting the Yogi govt and BJP in UP, Gehlot said, “Your approach to govern- ance does not get attention. They do politics only by creating perceptions.” Talking to the media in Barmer, Gehlot said that in UP, the bulldozer was the only election symbol. “Fake encounters happened. This was projected as if the CM there took a big action. It is very easy to do fake encounters, but the country will run when there is rule of law,” he said. Gehlot added that innocent people could also die in a fake encounter. The law mentions that no mat- ter how big a criminal is, get him hanged and punishment as per the rule of law. YOUR APPROACH TO GOVERNANCE DOES NOT GET ATTENTION: GEHLOT TAKES A JIBE AT YOGI GOVT AND BJP Mukesh Mathrani Barmer: CM Ashok Gehlot was on a two- day visit to Barmer on Sunday lashed out at BJP and Modi govt. Talking to a media in Barmer, CM said that ‘Congress free’ India will never happen, but those chanting this, will definitely get free. The CM said that the situation of the coun- try in the Modi era is very critical and the people are getting be- trayed again and again. Gehlot said that de- feat in an election does not mean that Con- gress is losing its exist- ence. Gehlot said that ahead of the election of 5 states, everybody knew that prices of petrol and diesel will not increase but they were damn sure that it will rapidly increase soon after the elections and now we are wit- nessing it. CM said that people should now under- stand the governance policy of the Modi govt as they are using the system for their bene- fits only. He said that due to such policies of the Narendra Modi govt people are suffer- ing from inflation. Yogesh Sharma Jaipur: CM Ashok Gehlot’s visit to Barmer was special in many ways. Known as the Gandhi of Marwar, Gehlot is well acquainted with the politics of Malani. In the politics of Rajasthan, the land of Barmer was strong, many veterans came out from here and achieved a posi- tion in the politics of the country and the state. In the last assembly elections, except for Siwana seat, Congress had won 8 out of 9 seats in Barmer district. Obviously, the visit of CM Gehlot has shown that the Congress has kept its eyes on the border area. Gehlot’s tours have started in the state and this can be a cause of concern for the BJP, the main Op- position party of the state. In the LS elections, the Barmer-Jaisalm- er LS seat and Jodhpur LS seat did not come in the hands of the Con- gress. Narendra Modi himself ad- dressed the election meeting in both Barmer and Jodhpur. Barmer and Jaisalmer contrib- uted 100% in the formation of Ge- hlot’s govt. When a rebellion broke out within Congress, then his sup- porters had turned to Jaisalmer. ANALYSIS Mukesh Mathrani Barmer: In presence of CM Ashok Gehlot, his own cabinet colleague Hemaram Choudhary openly threatened the oil com- p a n i e s working in Bar- mer. Ad- dressing the CM, Choudhary said that if he permits them, they will teach them a tough lesson. Hemaram Choudhary, forest and environment minister in Gehlot cabinet was addressing a public meeting organized by dist congress commit- tee in Barmer. Choudhary said that it is fortunate of Bar- mer that minerals like petrol, gas and coal were discovered there and projects like a refin- ery are being estab- lished there. …BUT THOSE CHANTING THIS WILL DEFINITELY GET FREE: CM ‘CONGRESS FREE’ INDIA WILL NEVER HAPPEN Replying to a question, the CM said that the BJP and Modi government should clarify on the Coalgate and 2G spectrum case and answer to the people of India what happened to these cases. CM said that the CAG who claimed about the 2G spectrum scam, are now apologizing for it. The CM said that if people would not understand the false strategy of BJP, the future of this country will be worse. BJP, MODI GOVT SHOULD CLARIFY PEOPLE ON COAL GATE AND 2G SPECTRUM CASE: GEHLOT Defeat in the elections does not mean Congress is losing its existence, says CM CM Gehlot says that PM Modi should appeal to people to shun polarisation Rahul Gandhi is the only leader who is fighting the wrong policies of the Modi government. No other leader or the party has been fighting the anti people policies since the past seven years. Post-emergency, even In- dira Gandhi lost polls Cong won at only 2 seats but very soon scenario changed party won election in north south India. Even in the present sce- nario Congress exists in every part of India. —Ashok Gehlot, Chief Minister CM Ashok Gehlot calls on his classmate Yagyadutt Joshi at latter’s residence in Barmer. Gehlot and Joshi were classmates during the college time in Jodhpur. RECALLING OLD MEMORIES! GEHLOT MEETS CLASSMATE JOSHI IN BARMER First India Bureau Jaipur: At the begin- ning of his address, Gehlot said that he was not there to deliver a speech but to gossip. He called Shaheen Ali “man of the match” for today. “Shaheen Ali’s words tell about his personality. He made very good comments, in a good tone. Earlier, I thought he was a gul- lible person but he is a very smart man,” he said. He said that he was called anti-em- ployee in 1998 by the state employees and a lot was said against him but he always tried to give what was demanded by the em- ployees. Praising the finance dept team led by principal secy Akh- il Arora for preparing an excellent budget, Gehlot said that such an amazing budget could be possible be- cause of the team and its efforts. He said that it was because of him that the officers were promoted to DIG. He said that posts of DG are limited therefore posts are given by cre- ating ex-cadre. “My commitment is that every person should get promotion on time that is why provision of 2 DPCs was made every year,” he said. 1. Jagdeesh Chandra expressed his gratitude for these words of the CM. However, these positive comments of Gehlot created a new stir in the media and administra- tive areas. CM equated RHB commissioner Pawan Arora with his elder brother Jagdeesh Chandra and said that they are better than each other and termed them “experts in their fields.” “Dr Manmohan Singh was PM, Pranab Mukherjee was the President and Jagdeesh (Chandra) is going on tour with them. He comes at 5 in the morning and returns with the President at 6 in the evening. Such a person is difficult to find. And he maintains his standard, whether it is Congress or BJP. He will say that he is with the government and not with anyone else, so there cannot be any complaints. He is with the Chief Minister whether it is Vasund- hara ji or Ashok Gehlot, for him all are equal. This is also a politics in which he is efficient and successful. If Jagdeesh Chandra has any weak- ness, it is his brother Pawan Arora and sister Sushma Arora. He has great place for his siblings in his heart and this is also a merit for a person that he worries for his sister,” CM said. CM GEHLOT AGAIN HAILS ACUMEN OF JC AND PAWAN ARORA! 1 2 4 3 HAND OVER IAS CLUB RESPONSIBILITY TO ARORA: CM TO CS In the event, the CM praised the RAS club. Gehlot hailed tennis and badminton courts on rooftop and asked Pawan Arora how he got the idea. Arora informed the CM that similar rooftop sports facilities were also developed at Constitution club.
