We want to see what will happen to
We will need:
    water when it is warmed.

a dish,
            water
                       a measuring
                           jug,
          and a radiator.
To see what happens to water when it
is warmed we will need to:

                         Fill the
                      measuring jug
                       up to 100ml.
Pour the water into the dish.
Then place the dish carefully on a
            radiator.
What do you think will happen?

Keep checking the dish. Can you
      see a difference?
The water is evaporating.

  Some of The heat
 the water from the
 begins to radiator is
change into warming the
   water water.
  vapour.
Water vapour is a gas.

We cannot see it but it rises up
      from the warm water.

As the water gets warmer more water
         vapour is formed.
It might take a long time but,
eventually, the water will all disappear.

          The warmed water
           has evaporated.
Where do you think the water
             has gone?
The water has changed into water
vapour and is in the air. Think about
  where it might go afterwards.

What do you think will happen?
