I have been worked as a quality control lab manager in " El-Nasr Castings Co. ( High
Quality ). It is specialized in producing pipes & valves fittings made up of ductile
cast iron generally utilized in the plumbing and infrastructure applications.
Specific experimental analysis and tests are performed in updated chemical , mechanical,
spectral, rubber, photographic and ( sand ( labs, in addition to calibration lab,
adjusting our products quality to match the company agreed specs. A large number
of raw materials ( e.g. white silica sand, ferro alloys, refractories, cement, limestone,
resins …etc.) are also investigated by a professional crew of chemists, geological engineers
and well-trained technicians.
ACHIEVEMENTS & DREAMS :
I have made several attempts, in recycling solid wastes of foundries and workshops which
actually contributed to diminish our imported demands for most costly and polluting
materials, for instance :
Utilizing the very cheap and comparatively safe water glass (sodium silicate) as a
sand binder instead of hazardous resins of terrible expense.
Adhesives : that are successfully used in repairing broken sand molds & cores.
Inexpensive coatings : using kaolin that extracted from silica sand washing process to
protect sand molds & cores against humidity deterioration.
Fillers (putty) : which are added to the final product in order to avoid casting
defects .

2. In addition to other valuable theoretical researches and feasibility studies for many
projects, particularly that concerned with silica sand manufacturing such as :
Establishing a silica sand quarry to secure the input of silica sand raw material that
widely used in foundries for making sand molds and cores.
A great hope of setting up a ferrosilicon ( FiSi ) & ferrosilicon magnesium ( FeSiMg ) plant to
be a basic stone for a ferro alloys center in Egypt and Middle East as a whole. It is just a
dream, may come true if a suitable investor is available. And other researches for
manufacturing sodium silicates and refractories for ladle and induction furnace linings.
At last, it's an abstract of my career as a chemist who retired more than a year ago.
