1. Here are some points put together to make my evaluation. These are only notes and my finished evaluation will be posted on my blog. My final products are posted on the next slide By Sam Slack
2. Top left – Front Cover Top right – Contents Page Bottom – Double Page Spread
3. In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products? Set out the way a normal ‘typical’ magazine would be with a big title and the other features smaller I didn’t always do it the conventional way as some times I lay it out differently I took ideas from mainly KERRANG music magazine and I used the ideas and created it as my own I analysed covers and contents pages and created my own using both conventional and unconventional ideas
4. How does your media product represent particular social groups? The colours used represents how the audience feel and the attitude The fonts are mainly blocked letters and simple to suggest their into the same things if they are attracted to it The person used on the front cover has a certain image and if the audience is interested then it shows they are socially similar It separates social groups through age – because of the person on the front and gender because rock is mainly a male thing
5. What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?
6. Who would be the audience for your media product? Mainly 16-20 year olds Anyone interested in rock and maybe a bit of metal Aiming it at people my age (17), and I am interested in simple but some thing with colour on – I thought my preference would help
7. How did you attract/address your audience? Using a picture of a 19 year old to show it was aimed at teenagers or young adults Used Guitar Hero 4 as my main feature because my target audience would be mostly attracted to it If I used a picture of an older person it may not of attracted my target audience Advertising a lot of competitions and new gigs & tours
8. What have you learnt about technologies from the process of constructing the product? How to use fireworks which is one of the best programs I've come across How to use different camera software How to edit pictures in many sorts of ways How to use blogger
9. Looking back to your preliminary task, what do you feel that you have learnt in the progression from it to the full product? Planning – desperately needed to keep improving You need to plan to get peer feed back to make even better products How to get particular shots with cameras You need to experiment to get the best outcome
