This document discusses a Kaizen improvement project at an automotive component manufacturing plant to address angle disturbance problems in the welding process of a C.A. shaft assembly. Specifically, operators were not inserting a locating pin into the shaft to maintain the proper angle to the flange, resulting in angular errors. The Kaizen aimed to implement error proofing in the MIG welding and fixture process to ensure the locating pin was used from March 16th to 22nd, 2013.
