Pandas are black and white bears native to China. They usually weigh around 120-160 kg and measure 1.2-1.8 m long including their 13 cm tail. Pandas live in bamboo forests in the mountainous regions of Sichuan, Shaanxi, and Gansu provinces of China, where they feed on bamboo. Pandas are endangered due to loss of habitat from deforestation, lack of food, poaching, and difficulties reproducing. Saving pandas helps preserve biodiversity and natural landscapes.
