INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATION

1. SHIKSHA NIKETAN, NLO INDEPENDENCE DAY
The Independence Day at Shiksha Niketan was
celebrated with patriotic fervour by the
students and teachers of the school. The
National Flag was hoisted by Mr. Suresh, the
chief patron of the school. Thereafter, the
students presented a thought provoking melodrama
highlighting the issues relating to sharing of
waters and interlinking of the rivers. In view
of the frequently occurring floods and drought
situation in various parts of our country the
children suggested the need for interlinking of
rivers so that the excess water in one region
can be shared with the regions having less
rainfall. Their ideas were put forth through
dance and drama.
