Participate in one of our eLearning samplers (see News &
Courses tab, www.easysite.com/atimetolearn). Our course
samplers are a great asset to first-generation, college
students and homeschooling students. We are providing an
online course environment without the college price. There
are now many accredited grade Pre K-12 schools, and
colleges, that offer full credit hours to their students who
participate in an online course program of study choice.
When requested, all schools should be willing and able to
provide an official education history or transcript (stamped
with its own official organizational seal).

1. What season did the hearing take place?
2. What was the mother participant requested to do? Why?
3. Why didn’t the court have [“before him”] the specified evaluation
for review—at the time of the court proceeding? Whose job was it
to present such evidence to the court?
4. What type of professional would complete such a request? What
is the cost of having the described evaluation performed by a
bona fide professional? How many described evaluations were
requested? How many were conducted?
5. What is the current work status of the mother? What other work
history of the mother was discussed? Is it important to know the
mother’s work history or occupation?
6. Was the mother a native of the state? Of Caroline County? Did
the mother express knowledge of the social traditions of the
specified county? Who else testified during this portion of the
proceeding?

7. Was the mother agreeable in leaving out of the home? What was the
home style, was it an actual home, townhome, or an apartment?
8. Were the parents aware of the severity of the specific court proceeding?
Were the lawyers aware and prepared for the specific actions of exit
behaviors?
9. When a request of immediate exit, should a parent be assigned to a
shelter home style? Or a motel? Should the state be required to pay for
such housing expense?
10. Is it possible to identify the parenting style of the described family?
11. Did the father participant have to testify? Did the maternal aunt
participant have to testify? What did she mean by “it’s the mother”…? Is
the “mother” the aunt’s niece? Do we know the name of the mother?
12. Identify the position and background of the maternal aunt.
13. Based on the maternal aunt’s testimony, do you believe that she was an
active participant—an aunt to the children or the niece?

14. How many children did the court discuss? Are they the
biological or foster children of the mother and father?
15. What is the hourly fee of a professional attorney (not Legal Aid)?
The fee standard of conducting such a case in a court of law? The
hourly fee of the social workers? The hourly fee of wages lost to
attend for all other described parties?
16. What was the function of the State and County’s Circuit Court
during the described family court proceeding?
Activity--Identify and begin reading the educational laws adopted during
former presidents Ronald Reagan, George H.W. Bush, George W
Bush, and current president Barack Obama. Write a 2-page summary
of the laws. You will use your summary notes in Week 3 and on-going.
