Actionism<br />The term Actionism describes a short and violent movement in the 20th century art that can be regarded as part of the many independent efforts of the 1960’s to develop “action art.” <br />The movement can be more or less divided into two groups: Action and Painting, typified by artists such as Pollock, de Koonig, frank Kline, and Philip Guston, stressed the physical action involved in painting.<br />
