How To Get Rid Of Electronic Waste Essay
Have you ever thought, "What do I do with my old iPad that is not working anymore?" We all love playing
with the latest electronic gadget, device or computer, but what do you do with the old versions? Most likely
you throw them away without even thinking twice about what happens to it. These items are called
electronic waste, or e–waste and are causing a lot of problems not just here in the United States but around
the world! How do we fix this problem of growing e–waste. Well, thats easy! Recycle them! Recycling
Electronics is a big part of this world and trying to save it. The only way to really save the world from this
e–waste is to recycle it, and stop putting it in landfills or getting rid of it in some other unhealthy or unsafe
way. ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
In the Industrial Revolution, or World War II, they "scraped" and recycled old items as much as they could
because they needed to help the war effort. Now, we don't save as much as we used to. Many times we just
throw them away and that is not helping the world. Getting rid of old and useless electronics is a problem
that will not go away unless we do something about it (www.getinthescrap.org).
Many of us are recycled papers, plastics, bottles and cans, but it seems no one recycles electronics. Did you
know that only thirty–nine percent of Americans recycle electronics? Thats less than half of Americans.
Most of the people in the world feel that recycling electronics is not important or a waste of time and will
not help the world in the future (www.environmentalleader.com).
Also, there is a problem with some of the cords and aires that are in these electronics and you can still
recycle them. Even though there is a lot of wires and cords that can not be saved the ones that are still in
great shape can be used by other companies like apple, android and more to make completely new and

Philo Farnsworth's Impact On Society
Philo Taylor Farnsworth was born on August 19, 1906 in Beaver, Utah. Later on in Farnsworth life he
invented an electronic that almost everyone in America owns today, the electric television. This invention
was created on September 7, 1927.() This invention has heavily influenced America since its creation.
Although in the present computers and smart phones are beginning to make television obsolete it will
always be the stepping stone of visual communications. Thus, Farnsworth had created an invention that has
changed human culture forever. The history of the electronic television since its creation is vast but the
main focuses are, how it was made, where was it made, and what Farnsworth did with his invention.

The first benefit is centered on the need for visual communication. Before electronic television there was
mainly radio or telegraph communication, which required a plethora of description. Also it also causes
deception between the broadcaster and listener. In 1938 a radio broad cast had tricked millions of listeners
that aliens had invaded the world but it was actually a Halloween joke. While electric television was
visually see an event unfold in real time. Another benefit is the vast opportunities for marketing. Electronic
television has presents itself as an effective tool to demonstrate products. These demonstrations are placed
at a certain moments on a program to ensure that people will see these products, but visually seeing a
product led the masses to desire the product more. Also it allows a wider range of people to be aware that
the product exists. Lastly, going out to the theaters to see a play had become a novelty of the past with the
creation of the electronic television. Plays or show were recorded to entertain the masses who owned
electronic television. No longer hand they the need to venture out of their home for entertainment. Thus,
the benefit of electronic television mainly lay with the ability to visual see a product, event and also

Introduction
Have you ever wondered how do we read, hear and print from electronic devices? Well, I was always
wondering how I could read and print documents, watch videos and edit pictures from the computer. After
the second lecture, I understand that with the help of the output devices we could easily finish our task.
With the text, video audio and graphics projected out from the computer, I can complete my work with no
worries. For example, I can print out my assignments from a printer in a few seconds. As the technology is
getting more advanced, many output devices are invented and marketed worldwide.
What is the output device?
Output has many different definitions. However, based on computing, output means data which has useful

Most people prefer to print out their documents such as reports, letters, statements, and minutes instead of
reading their documents from the computer because it will be easier to be referred. There are two types of
printers that we commonly use which is ink jet printer and laser printer.
1. Ink jet printer
In the 19th century, ink jet printer is invented; however, it is widely developed in the early 1950s. Epson,
Hewlett–Packard (HP) and Canon were the ones who expand the use of ink jet printer that could form
digital images. Ink jet printer which creates digital images uses ionised sprayed ink on paper. Ink jet printer
has a low cost, is light and does not need warm up before using. Also the printer uses ink cartridge that can
be refilled and has to be cleaned often.
2. Laser printer In 1984, Hewlett–Packard (HP) remodels the laser printer technology into the first laser jet.
Laser printer is a printer that uses electrostatic digital printing which uses a converging light to produce the
images or words onto paper. It is expensive and most people could not afford to buy although it has a better
quality than ink jet printer. It is much heavier and bigger than ink jet printer. It needs some time to warm up

Scanner Advantages And Disadvantages
Scanner
Scanner is a device that captures images from photographic prints, posters, magazine pages, and similar
sources for computer editing and display. Scanners come in many types for scanning black–and–white or
color. Some of the main types of scanners are described below; (Hewawithana, 2012)
Flatbed scanners: Flatbed scanners are some of the most commonly used scanners as it has both home and
office functions. The way they scan documents is that a mechanism rolls under the document to obtain the
image. For a businesses that have a need for high processing abilities, the flatbed scanner can scan any
number of documents with a click of a button. (Hewawithana, 2012)

monitors designed using cathode ray tube the following characteristics can be noticed in LCD's o Less
space, o Very low power consumption, o Lack of flicker, o Comparatively expensive, o Limited viewing
angle, (Computer Hope's, 2016)
An LED monitor (Short for Light Emitting Diode) or LED display is a flat screen, flat panel computer
monitor or television, it has a very depth and is light in terms of weight. The actual difference between this
and a typical LCD monitor is the backlighting. The first LCD monitors used CCFL instead of LED's to
illuminate the screen, LED monitors offer many benefits when compared to those that are CCFL lit
including, o Typically are less expensive, o Broader diming range, o Overall more reliable, o They run at a
lower temperature, and consume much less power as few as 20 watts, o Higher dynamic contrast ratio, o
Longer lifespan and less environmental impact. (Computer Hope's, 2016)

1. Analyze competitive forces in the US LCD TV industry.
The US LCD TV industry is highly competitive and fast–changing. The industry transitions from cathode–
ray tubes to flat panels and provides Vizio a great opportunity to tap into the market. Vizio's innovation
business model through lowering price while maintaining high quality products shifts industry dynamics
substantially and made it a strong player in the LCD TV market. A five–force analysis is performed below
to further assess the LCD TV industry dynamics in the US.
Rivalry (high) – Leading TV brands including Sony and Samsung have strong presence in the market.

components such as ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
The company makes smart moves to lock in the long–term outsourcing relationships with AmTran and Hon
Hai by accumulatively offering 31% equity shares of Vizio. The diversified strategic partnerships allow
Vizio to secure high quality products, flexible manufacturing for different TV sizes, on–time delivery and
favorable manufacturing charges.
Distribution – Vizio targets membership–based retailer – Costco as its top distribution partner. This proves
to be effective in balancing Vizio's financial viability and product positioning. Although selling TV
products in electronic retailers such as BestBuy delivers higher brand image and directs to more target
customers, distribution terms with such top electronic retailer are likely to be unfavorable to Vizio,
increasing the firm's distribution cost. Meanwhile, Vizio does not want to partner with low–end product
retailers that may signal lower quality of its products. The company's move to partner with Sam's Club
aligns with its existing distribution strategy.
Marketing – Vizio takes a low–cost marketing strategy to further control the cost. By showcasing in
nationwide distribution channels and leveraging word–of–mouth effect, the firm largely grabs market
share. It then starts a brand–boosting campaign to solidify its brand image in the US.
It concludes that Vizio is able to achieve cost–saving throughout the LCD TV value chain and hence

The Haunting Of Hill House
"No live organism can continue for long to exist sanely under conditions of absolute reality."– Shirley
Jackson, The Haunting of Hill House For the purposes of reducing confusion the world that we live in, the
air we breathe, the universe that is generally accepted as the real world, and the felling and presence of our
bodies will be referred to as "home".
Humans are unique in the animal world in that we solve puzzles for fun. Very few other animals do this,
and only ones with a complex neural network have the desire to complete puzzles for enjoyment. Over

The game seeks to trick us for a time into abandoning what is real (home) and focus on what is inside our
monitors and T.V.s. Baudrillard spoke on the process of a simulated reality in a multi–step process. "In the
first case, the image is a good appearance – representation is of the sacramental order." This can be related
to the early days of video games when they used cathode ray tubes to project pixelated images onto a
curved glass scene. Video games where very new, and exciting. "In the second, it is an evil appearance – it
is of the order of maleficence. This can be related to games starting about 15 years ago till today. Video
games were and still are thought to be a source of violence in people. Many view them as a waste of time
and that they detriment a person. Though this mentality is starting to fade as we shift towards the third
order "In the third, it plays at being an appearance – it is of the order of sorcery". Technology is starting to
advance to the point that anyone without training in the field cannot understand what is going on. As myths
about video games negative appearance are being debunked or confirmed their negative aspects are getting
swallowed up by the more exciting advancements in the fields. "In the fourth, it is no longer of the order of
appearances but of simulation." At this level the video game stops being a game, and starts to become a
part of everyday life (home). For as much as some may dedicate their whole lives to games, in the

The Effects Of Pollution On A Natural Environment
Introduction
Pollution is a very wide–use term that means the introduction of contaminants that cause a negative change
into a natural environment. It englobes all sort of contaminations such as air contaminants, water
contaminants, solid contaminants on soil and a lot more. As we can see in the World Wild Life website,
pollution is a very important issue he have and that we have to fix as soon as possible. There are even
natural substances considered as pollutants once they exceed natural levels in a certain area.
As we know, salt water can be found in most water reservoirs, and it provides a lot of ecosystems
protection against bacteria but it can also be considered a pollutant if the salt levels on a water mas is

Methods
In order to set up the experiment, twelve test tubes total were used; four of them were the control tubes,
which had no algae solution contents. The reason for not adding algae is that the control tubes solutions are
meant to be the starting point for comparison that has to stay the same throughout the length of the
experiment. They are used to set up the blanks on the spectrophotometer (instrument used to measure the
amount of light at a specific wavelength) for each of the remaining eight tube solutions. Each time a tube is
read by the spectrophotometer, the instrument needs to be set blank in order to read the change between the
control tubes (no growth) and the tubes with algae (unknown potential used growth). We have four
different groups with different pollutant amounts and fertilizer in order to measure the change respect to
the percentage.
The control tubes were set up differently according to the table below. Negative Control tube Blank Tube 1
Blank Tube 2 Blank Tube 3 Blank
Alga–Pro 10 ml 9 ml 8 ml 7 ml
Pollutant 0 ml 1 ml 2 ml 3 ml
Total Volume 10 ml 10 ml 10 ml 10 ml
% Pollutant 0 % 10 % 20 % 30 %
As we can see in the table above, the negative control tube blank has 100% of fertilizer and 0% of
pollutant, tube 1 blank has 10% of pollutant, tube 2 blank has 20% of pollutant and tube 3 blank has 30%
of pollutant, understanding that the percentage left is fertilizer.

Waste Of Electronic Waste
Electronic wastes are products that have become unwanted and are not being used anymore as if they were
to not have a use in life anymore. The reason for this is because technology advances so quickly that
people begin to put aside older electronic devices. A good example of this would be the Apple IPhones.
When the IPhone 5 came out it sold 9 million units, and then after 1–year when the iPhone 6 became
released, many people put aside their iPhone 5's or disposed of them improperly after purchasing the new
IPhone. The clear definition of electronic waste is electronic products that have stopped working or have
become un–wanted and reached the end of their lives. There are a variety of devices that have become
electronically wasted including VCR's because of the fact that DVD players replaced them and then DVD
players became electronically wasted because Blu–ray players were introduced. Most of these electronics
are being recycled improperly around the world. Last year in North America alone more than 85% of
electronic devices were not recycled properly. Most of these devices are thrown away when they are still
containing materials, which are harmful. Some of these materials include cadmium, lead, beryllium and
mercury. Once a large amount of devices are recycled improperly they begin to cause a significant threat to
the environment. Besides the fact that they are harmful, companies could also re–use many of the elements
in these devices and build a varying of electronic

Themes in White Noise by Don DeLillo Essay
White Noise
"The world...is crowded, not necessarily with occupants and not at all with memorable experiences, but
with happenings; it is a ceaseless flow of seductive trivialities which invoke neither reflection, nor choice
but instant participation." (Oakeshott) The idea of the lacking of realness is one of the major themes carried
out throughout the novel White Noise by Don DeLillo, especially through the device of the television.
"For most people there are only two places in the world. Where they live and their TV set. If a thing
happens on television, we have every right to find it fascinating, whatever it is." (DeLillo 66) The

This theme of consumerism is one of the strongest driving forces in the novel, which explains why the role
of the television is so important. "TV's commercial emergence coincides with the 'golden age' of Fordism."
(McCarthy 2) The television thrives merely on the ratings that bring about an enlarged group of
commercial viewers, and the more viewers, the more money is brought in through commercials and
advertising. Although many people believe that they themselves are not influenced by advertising, no one
can escape the brief moments of mind–numbing product awareness being drilled into their heads.
Even if these advertisements do not cause some people to immediately go out and by the products,
"commercial images linger in their minds, leaving shadowforms that shape perception and experience."
(Yehnert 4) This idea is portrayed in White Noise when Jack and Murray go visit the Most Photographed
Barn in America. (DeLillo 12–13) The image mediates everything, for the barn would be nothing special at
all without the advertised title of "the most photographed". Knowing this about the barn, viewing it
becomes "a new way of seeing and being". (Yehnert 4) Murray seems to be one of the only characters in
the book that truly realizes and appreciates this phenomenon and points out that once you've seen the
advertisements for the barn it becomes impossible to actually see the barn itself. These images referring to

The shows and movies aired on television are extremely violent and portray a really negative image about
the society as a whole. The concern regarding television is majorly seen amongst parents who do not want
their children to get influenced by the things shown on the TV. Televisions are also regarded as an Idiot
Box by many people (Palermo, 2004).
People, who favour televisions, have their own reasons. They advocate that having television at home is
really beneficial if you watch it with some constraints. Television is not only a source of entertainment but
of information too. It is possible to know what is happening across the globe by sitting comfortably in front
of television (Wheatley, 2007). It is a sea of knowledge for those who watch the right channels. Besides, it
is impossible to stop children from watching TV; since they can get access to it some way or the other and
banning it is only going to increase their desire to watch it.
As mentioned before there is no definite yes or no to this question different people think differently.

Television has evolved in a strong and interesting way in the market. In the beginning, the product was a

items that constitute e–waste include, but are not limited to, cell phones, televisions, computer processors

The Impact Of Digital Technology On Consumer Electronics,...
Abstract–With the rapid development of digital technology in consumer electronics, advertising and
notification system has greater importance. Earlier systems had the drawback that the notice board or
systems that were to display notice has been done manually. The idea proposed to this project is that using
GSM technology so that the updates could be made with mobile and check for the authority in the system.
So updates to these notice boards could be made through a simple SMS. The importance of notice in
academic is well known to us but this system could be not only in the school or educational but also for
commercial purposes such as advertising or emergency notification system.
Keywords: GSM modem, AVR 328, visual basic 6.0, LCD Display.

This is an embedded based project. An embedded system is a combination of hardware and software and
perhaps other mechanical parts designed to perform a specific function. A Notice Board is a very essential
device in any institution/organization or public utility place like bus stations, railway stations and parks.
The big problem with these displays is to carry a computer or special keyboard for generating and sending
messages to LCD moving display board dynamically. Carrying a host computer or special keyboard every
time to generate message for LCD display boards is big headache and also increase cost if it go for wireless
based message sending. To make the

The History Of The Modern Monitor
The History of the Modern Monitor What is a monitor? I myself, once thought of the monitor as merely an
object sitting on my desk, displaying information from my computer. I never gave a second thought about a
monitor's appearance or how a monitor worked in the first place. After reading through various books and
articles, I have now obtained a different outlook on the subject; what I once saw as a simple desktop
monitor, I now see as a magnificent invention people often overlook. From cathode ray tubes (CRT's) to
organic light–emitting diodes (OLED's), the modern monitor has undergone many technological
innovations to reach its current status ("History of Monitor Displays"). As a result of the monitor's rapid
success, the average American household is now home to a wide variety of monitors: laptop monitors,
desktop monitors, and several television monitors. How did it all begin? The very first monitor consisted
only of lightbulbs that blinked when information was being transferred from a computer. This technology
allowed the scientist to depict information being read by a computer (Edwards 2). Digital displays didn't
make their first appearance till the 1920s; using the cathode ray technology pioneered by Sir William
Crooke in 1878, Kenjiro Takayamagi made images appear on a screen, known as the first black and white
television. The development of CVTs as computer monitors didn't happen till color television was
developed after World War II. People wanted to use

Technology And Its Impact On Modern Society
In the past century, society has seen great leaps in technology that has connected people together more than
ever, it has saved lives and continues to make day to day life simply easier to navigate. However, there are
consequences to these advances. With people clamoring every year to get their hands on the newest
iteration of their electronic devices, whether it be the latest iPhone, a more advanced computer or a high–
definition television society must confront the problems it has created by its own desire for technology. As
consumers purchase newer and better version of their old electronics the question of what happens to the
old ones is raised. In 2005 alone, it was estimated that Americans disposed of two million tons of electronic
products a year and that by 2010 that number would grow to four hundred million annually (Eilperin). This
rate of disposal leaves behind piles of unwanted electronic devices and while many of these devices end up
in junk drawers there are many more that end up in landfills where their toxic metal innards contaminate
drinking water and soil. Or, devices are left to go to seed in some lonely warehouse long since abandoned
by its own and there is always the possibility of devices being exported to poor countries where recycling
regulations are lacks. The scope of the problem is not small as it is estimated that the hazard created by
electronic waste threatens over one hundred million lives worldwide (Wood). To begin to understand why

My research project is based on the Liquid Crystal Display...
My research project is based on the Liquid Crystal Display or (The LCD). The developer of the LCD was a
group of engineers, led by George Heilmeier a engineer himself. They started to develop this in between
1964 and 1968. When his group thought they had finished, they later found out they were wrong. George
and his group had used Dynamic scattering method which had worked poorly. Later a man named James
Ferguson came along and replaced it with and improved version. He had used twisted nematic field effect
fro the LCD. It was released for sale in the 1970s, it sold very quickly over thousands of people bought it
in the United States.

One of the sensors that a LCD has is the backlight sensor. This increases productivity, life by stabilizing the
brightness, after the system starts up and automatically. It also connects ambient temperature and adjusted
the brightness over time. There is also a touch sensor for the touch LCD monitor. This works because of
the electromagnetic interference caused by your hand. This happens when you move your hand near or
close to the screen.
In addition the LCD computer monitor is in fact soldered. One of the components that is soldered is the
capacitors. Another thing that is soldered is some of the copper wires. There are nine compartments inside
an LCD monitor. It has two polarized filters one on top and one on the bottom. In the center of these two
filter is were the LC remains. On top and bellow the LC is two other films, then on top of that there is a
transformed electrode. Then on the bottom of the lower filter is the back light/mirror. Then to finish it off
there is either a red, blue or green film, which can be adjusted to a certain brightness. On the back of all of
this is where the wires are connected to the battery and supply voltage. In conclusion Liquid Crystal
Display is now a million dollar product that sells all over the United States. Liquid Crystal Display is now
very popular because it is practically every where. These are some of the products that contain LCD. iPads,

X-Ray Tube Essay
X–ray tube is designed to lower the amount of heat produce, this can be accomplished by the rotating of
the anode which gives off heat. The X–ray tube is designed with the anode attach to the rotor and cathode
on the other side of anode. This design determines the characteristics of X–ray beam.
The cathode is a normal cathode is made up of negatively charge small coil wire called filaments, which is
housed in focusing cup. The filament is negatively charged coil of wire which becomes heated when the
electrical current passes through and when that energy becomes enough to expel the electrons from the
filament its called Thermionic Emission. The function of cathode is to push out electrons which are
produced by electric circuit and to turn those electron into a beam. The filament is contained in the
cathode, usually design using a material known as Theorated tungsten. This theorated tungsten allows for a
high temperature without the filament melting and there are different sizes of filament which can help to
vary the spaceial resolution according to what is being x–ray.
The anode has two primary functions, one is to convert electronic energy into x–radiation and the second
one is to dissipate the heat created in the process. The part of the x–ray tube where x–radiation is produced
is a large piece of metal that connects to positive side of electric current. The anode provides a mechanical
support for a target, the material of anode enhances the conversion of energy and

Television Have A Negative Effect On Society
The Negative Effects
Television has become a "member" of almost every single family on our planet. And not just an ordinary
member, but a very important one, because the time spent next to it exceeds the amount of time spent
together with any other family member. You do not have to apply any efforts to talk or listen to complaints
while "communicating" with it. It is so simple that it has become an integral part of the culture of every
family. It is the only time, when a person can forget about all the family troubles and the failures of the day.
The sofa opposite the TV set has become the place of "reconciliation and spiritual unity" of the family. And
instead of playing together and having emotional talks people prefer to watch an episode from a thriller. It
is senseless to deny the all–embracing negative effect the existence of television has brought to our lives.
But to make our point of view ultimately convincing we will introduce to your attention certain facts that
people do not want to accept and often try to justify. The base of the tomorrow's society – are children
today. And on the way they develop depends how are world is going to look like tomorrow. The television
negative effect facts that are well known to every single parent, but are ignored by them in order to put the
responsibility for bringing up kids and showing them examples through interaction on the shoulders of
somebody else.

Voltmeter Construction
ABSTRACT
The objective of this project is to design LCD digital oscilloscope for practical use. The basic concept for
the project involves reading the voltage signal at the input and displaying it on the screen of an
alphanumeric LCD. The input analog signals are supplied to the ADC(Analog to Digital Converter), which
are then sampled by it and the amplitude of the signal(voltage) is displayed on the LCD.
Device Components:
Microcontroller or processor:
We used Atmega16– an Atmel AVR series microcontroller. The processor clock was set to 11MHz internal
oscillator.
Analog to Digital Converter:
In this device we use Atmega16's inbuilt analog to digital converter. It is a 10–bit ADC which uses the in–
built reference voltage level of ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ...
As the name implies it uses analogue techniques throughout to create the pattern on the display. Typically
they use a cathode ray tube where the voltages on the x and y plats cause a dot on the screen to move. In
the horizontal direction this is controlled by the time base, whereas in the vertical direction the deflection is
proportional to the signal input. Essentially the signal is amplified and applied to the Y plates of the
cathode ray tube.
A cathode ray tube consists of a number of elements. There is an electron gun that generates an electron
beam that is fired along the length of the tube. This beam passes by deflection plates that are used to deflect
the beam, as a result of electrostatic attraction and repulsion, and finally the beam hits a phosphor coating
on the "screen" creating a small dot of light.
To assist in making the trace as clear as possible, intensity and focus controls are included. The focus
ensures that the dot that scans the screen remains as sharp as possible and in this way it can deliver a clear
trace. The intensity control is required because the intensity of the dot or trace varies according to the speed
at which the scan is made. Controlling the intensity enables a clear trace to be obtained.
When the scan is very slow the dot is seen to traverse the screen and it is difficult to visualize the

Social Learning With Chimpanzees And Other Animals
Learning by observation is a type of learning in which an individual observes the behavior of others, sees
the consequences of the behaviors, and then attempts to carry out the same behavior. Social learning is
based on the standards of classical and operant conditioning and observational learning. It is a commonly
shared belief that people have an instinctive ability to imitate the behavior of others. However, this ability
is not unique to humans. Animals have also showed evidence of being able to mimic humans and other
animals (Mazur, 2013). Chimpanzees, or Pan Troglodytes, have demonstrated social learning through
many different experiments in different settings. Chimpanzees have shown the ability to observe the
behavior of a model and reproduce the behavior. However, chimpanzees have also demonstrated the mental
capacity of understanding when behaviors do not elicit a desired reaction and not repeating these behaviors
under these circumstances. This paper will focus on chimpanzees and their ability to learn new behaviors
through social learning. Marshall–Pescini and Whiten (2008) discuss social learning with chimpanzees in
East Africa, focusing on the task of nut–cracking. Nut–cracking is unique to wild chimpanzees who live in
West Africa, so this study intended to measure whether or not chimpanzees who do not live in the wild in
West Africa would demonstrate the same ability to learn nut–cracking. The study took place on Ngamba

they can accost you every time you start up your computer. Messenger programs are notorious for this, but
there are many other programs that will automatically invite themselves into your Startup. And let 's face it:

Television Is A Key Component Of Our Daily Lives
Introduction
A television is a machine with a screen that is capable of displaying images. Televisions receive broadcast
signals and turn them into pictures and sound. Although debated, the TV is often credited as being invented
by Vladimir Zworykin a Russian–born American who worked for Westinghouse, and Philo Taylor
Farnsworth, a boy in Beaver City, Utah. Vladimir held the patent for the TV, but it was Farnsworth who
was the first person to first successfully transmit a TV signal on September 7, 1927.
The television is a key component of our daily lives and is a marvel of engineering and utilisation of
technology. Smartly incorporating complex electronic theories and concepts, the televisions has faced

A pixel is defined in television terms as the smallest area of a television image that can be shown within the
parameters of the certain system. This process is accomplished by firstly analysing the image by using a
photoelectric device in a series of horizontal scans from the top to the bottom of the image to create an
electrical signal in which the colour and brightness values of the individual picture elements are
represented as voltage levels of the respective video waveform; secondly, by transmitting the same
respective values of the picture elements in a sequence as voltage levels of a video signal; and finally by
reproducing the image of the original scene in a video signal display of parallel scanning lines on a viewing
screen(Repairfaq.cis.upenn.edu, 2015) (wiseGEEK, 2015). The most primitive form of televisions relied on
a cathode–ray tube to produce images, and operated with an analog signal(Lapin, 2015). As technology has
developed over time and broadcast signals transitioned from analog to digital, LCD (liquid crystal display)
and plasma televisions were created. These TVs are more compact, are flatter and have crisper pictures
than their cathode–ray counterparts because the bulky tube is removed, and in its stead they use a thin grid
of pixels to create the images (Repairfaq.cis.upenn.edu, 2015)(Computerhope.com, 2015) (Lapin, 2015)

Tube 1 and 2 contain functioning enzyme extract and substrate solution, ribose–5–phosphate. Furthermore,
the conditions in tube 1 and 2 allow the reaction to proceed to form ribulose–5–phosphate and the mount of
product formed can be measured. With tube 1 and 2 being identical, averaging the absorbance allowed
minimizing the error due to differences in enzyme concentration and contaminants within experimental

Secondly, the sum of tube 4 (no enzyme) and tube 5 (no ribose–5–phosphate) were used to adjusted the

The monitors of televisions and computers are known as cathode ray tubes, or CRTs. Each consists of
about 4 pounds of lead, a solid element that is dangerous to humans. If the 315 million obsolete computers
in the world are taken into account, there is about 1.2 billion tons of lead that has to be destroyed in some
way.1 In addition to CRTs, circuit boards and batteries from computers have high concentrations of lead,
mercury, cadmium and hexavalent chromium. The plastics used to make computers and televisions most
contain polyvinyl chloride, which, when burned, produces dioxins. Plastics that don't contain polyvinyl
chloride may contain brominated flame–retardants. A study performed by the California Department of
Health Problems found dangerously high levels of BFRs in the blubber of Harbor Seals and in the breast
milk of nursing mothers in California's bay area.1 Lead and mercury are considered neurotoxins and can
cause IQ deficits and developmental abnormalities in children even in very small levels of exposure.
Hexavalent chromium can cause sinus and lung tumors when inhaled. Finally Cadmium can cause
pulmonary damage when burned or heated and is listed on the EPA's list of "probable human carcinogens".

Essay on The Chemistry behind our Television Sets
Chemistry has had a colossal impact on the advancement of technology throughout the world. Every
electronic item can acknowledge chemistry for its creation. A main example that everyone knows of would
be the television. Without chemistry, there would be no technology; and without technology, we would not
be where we are today. Before television was invented people tried to find different ways to entertain
themselves. One bizarre thing people used the do was to attend surgeries for entertainment. They found
surgery to be very interesting and thrilling so they watched for their entertainment, almost like a TV show

The newer models of televisions contain plasma in their screens. Plasma screens are made up of groups of
cells called pixels. These pixels are composed of three sub–pixels that consist of three different colors;
green, red, and blue. "This technology uses a plasma etching system which is a type of plasma processing
mainly used in fabricating integrated circuits. The process involves shooting a gas mixture of glow
discharge or plasma towards a sample at very high speeds." (The Canadian News). The plasma, in gas
state, reacts with phosphors in the television panel's sub–pixels to create colored light in green, red, or blue.
A phosphor is a synthetic fluorescent or phosphorescent substance. The phosphors used are comparable to
the ones used in traditional Cathode Ray Tube televisions and computer monitors. Cathode Ray tubes are a
high–vacuum tube in which cathode rays produce a luminous image on a fluorescent screen. With plasma
technology, televisions are now able to display richer, more dynamic, and more realistic colors than the
CRT televisions (The Canadian News). Technology is affecting society in various ways today. The
television has an impact on the behavior of adolescents that many would consider negative. For example,
violence in media can cause youth violence. According to Brandon S. Centerwall, "If, hypothetically,
television technology had never been developed, there would be 10,000 fewer homicides each year in the

Depending on whether this is referring to materials and labor involved in the production of the flat–panel
TVs, costs could be affected under each. Materials and labor have been outsourced overseas currently by
Vizio which is the most cost effective and efficient method under their business model. Labor in Mexico
would definitely be less expensive than if the TVs were built in a US plant. The biggest question in my
mind is if Vizio could move their headquarters to another country and still sell their products to US
customers via their key outlets (Sam's Club and Costco) and the internet. This would give them a way to
work around the "selling IN the US" by selling TO the US. That would be my recommendation to their
CEO if the US government was to try to implement such a requirement. In an article in Inc. magazine,
CEO of Vizio, William Wang was quoted saying, "the U.S. duty for TVs from Asia is 5 percent. So the
duty is a little higher than the labor cost. There is no duty from Mexico." He is very well aware of the costs
associated with each component in his production and is using each as efficiently as possible to keep
production costs low. For most companies that have been utilizing and benefiting from globalization of
production and marketing, foreign investments or outsourcing; this change would be a bad

The Complexity Of Different Output Devices Essay
Introduction When looking at things such as watching TV, browsing through the Internet or even looking at
your mobile phone, it seems like something simple. However, this is not the case. Processes related to how
information is received through devices are very complex, these are known as Display Output Devices.
They are responsible for receiving data in different forms: images, videos, numbers, words, and even
sounds. Examples of these devices include televisions, computer screens, mobiles, printers and cameras.
This paper will discuss the complexity of different output devices, functions they carry out, and how the
functions are carried out. (Output device, Wikipedia, 2014). Part 1 : projectors are output devices that take
images already saved on computers or captured by mobiles and reflect these images on a flat surface. There
are three types of projectors which are : LCD(liquid crystal display), DLP(digital light processing) and
CRT (cathode ray tube ) and also there are two important things we must know before purchasing a
projector which are the brightness and resolution. The quality of the brightness differs from one type to
another so if we talk about LCD so the brightness lamp must be between 800 and 1000 to get a shiny
image but for DLB the brightness lamp must be 1000 not less than this, but if we want to get a perfect clear
image the resolution must be XGA or WXGA but VGA and SVGA more cheaper but give less quality
compared to XGA or WXGA so if we want a

What is a Home Theater System
Chapter 1 – What is a Home Theater System? Before the 1950s even though television was in existence,
the average models for home use were not able to create the type of entertainment experience that one
would get when going to the movie theater. In fact, even when home theater systems did start becoming
available, they were not via television. Instead, they were through projector equipment. Of course back
then the technology was only limited to showing 'home movies' or more infamously silent stag films, but it
was still establishing a trend that would continue even until today. This trend would involve turning one's
bedroom, basement or even a backyard into a movie theater of sorts. Granted, there doesn't exist any home

These are extremely hard to find in stores, so it's best to try to search for one through E–Bay or other
auction sites. Alternatively, a person could consider getting a video game system to take care of their DVD
needs. The video game systems that can also play DVDs include: the Xbox, the Xbox 360, the Playstation
2 and the Playstation 3. Of these systems you will pay the most for the Xbox 360 or the Playstation 3, since
they are the newest ones out there. Although the price is going down, expect to pay several hundred dollars
for either. Indeed, this is much more expensive than just getting a DVD player, however, video game
systems offer an advantage that regular DVD players don't. This advantage is obviously the ability to play
video games. If video games don't appeal to you at all, then you should probably just stick with a regular
DVD player. But if it does and/or you have other family members with such interests, think about paying
the extra money. Chapter 2 – Types of Home Theater Televisions The typical television designed for a
home theater setup will range in size from 30 inches to 110 inches. It will also come in one of two
categories: rear projection or flat screen. Rear projection televisions work through mechanisms that display
the image from the back of the television to the front, whereas flat screen televisions display the images
from within the screen itself. Four types of

Computer Recycling
Running head: COMPUTER RECYCLING
Computer Recycling
June 29, 2009
Computer Recycling
Over the years, tons of electronics equipment with hazardous materials have been thrown away with
standard garbage. Over time, these materials leak out of the electronics causing damage to the
environment. In order to try and reduce the threat, many local, state and federal governments are enacting
legislation that requires proper disposal of old electronics.
Most computer equipment becomes outdated anywhere from one to five years after its purchase.
This puts a burden on consumers to try and properly dispose of old equipment lying around the house.
Recycling is one of the best ways in which to have a positive impact upon the world in which we ... Show

Reuse of tin, silicon iron, aluminum, plastics, and a variety of plastics– all present in bulk in computers –
can reduce the costs of constructing new systems. In addition, components frequently contain copper, gold,
and other materials valuable enough to reclaim in their own right.Dismantled Sony Vaio PCG–982L and
Compaq JBL Professional laptops.Computer components contain valuable elements and substances
suitable for reclamation, including lead, copper, and gold. They also contain many toxic substances, such
as dioxins, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), cadium, chromium, radioactive isotopes, and mercury. A
typical computer monitor may contain more than 6% lead by weight, much of which is in the lead glass of
the cathode tube (CRT). A typical 15–inch computer monitor may contain 1.5 pounds of lead, but other
monitors have been estimated as having up to 8 pounds of lead Circuit boards contain considerable
quantities of lead–tin solders and are even more likely to leach into groundwater or to create air pollution
via incineration. Additionally, the processing required to reclaim the precious substances (including
incineration and acid treatments) may release, generate, and synthesize further toxic byproducts.A major
computer recycling concern is export of waste to countries with lower environmental standards. Companies
may find it cost–effective in the short term to sell outdated computers to less developed countries with lax
regulations. It

These items are called electronic waste, or e–waste and are causing a lot of problems not just here in the United States but around the world! How do we fix this problem of growing e–waste. Now, we don't save as much as we used to. Many times we just throw them away and that is not helping the world. Getting rid of old and useless electronics is a problem that will not go away unless we do something about it (www.getinthescrap.org). Many of us are recycled papers, plastics, bottles and cans, but it seems no one recycles electronics. Did you know that only thirty–nine percent of Americans recycle electronics? Thats less than half of Americans. Most of the people in the world feel that recycling electronics is not important or a waste of time and will not help the world in the future (www.environmentalleader.com). Also, there is a problem with some of the cords and aires that are in these electronics and you can still recycle them. This can be related to the early days of video games when they used cathode ray tubes to project pixelated images onto a curved glass scene. Video games where very new, and exciting. The Effects Of Pollution On A Natural Environment Introduction Pollution is a very wide–use term that means the introduction of contaminants that cause a negative change into a natural environment. It englobes all sort of contaminations such as air contaminants, water contaminants, solid contaminants on soil and a lot more. As we can see in the World Wild Life website, pollution is a very important issue he have and that we have to fix as soon as possible. There are even natural substances considered as pollutants once they exceed natural levels in a certain area. As we know, salt water can be found in most water reservoirs, and it provides a lot of ecosystems protection against bacteria but it can also be considered a pollutant if the salt levels on a water mas is higher than what it ... The reason for not adding algae is that the control tubes solutions are meant to be the starting point for comparison that has to stay the same throughout the length of the experiment. They are used to set up the blanks on the spectrophotometer (instrument used to measure the amount of light at a specific wavelength) for each of the remaining eight tube solutions. Each time a tube is read by the spectrophotometer, the instrument needs to be set blank in order to read the change between the control tubes (no growth) and the tubes with algae (unknown potential used growth). • 18. Waste Of Electronic Waste Electronic wastes are products that have become unwanted and are not being used anymore as if they were to not have a use in life anymore. The reason for this is because technology advances so quickly that people begin to put aside older electronic devices. A good example of this would be the Apple IPhones. When the IPhone 5 came out it sold 9 million units, and then after 1–year when the iPhone 6 became released, many people put aside their iPhone 5's or disposed of them improperly after purchasing the new IPhone. The clear definition of electronic waste is electronic products that have stopped working or have become un–wanted and reached the end of their lives. There are a variety of devices that have become electronically wasted including VCR's because of the fact that DVD players replaced them and then DVD players became electronically wasted because Blu–ray players were introduced. Most of these electronics are being recycled improperly around the world. Last year in North America alone more than 85% of electronic devices were not recycled properly. Most of these devices are thrown away when they are still containing materials, which are harmful. Some of these materials include cadmium, lead, beryllium and mercury. Once a large amount of devices are recycled improperly they begin to cause a significant threat to the environment. Themes in White Noise by Don DeLillo Essay White Noise "The world...is crowded, not necessarily with occupants and not at all with memorable experiences, but with happenings; it is a ceaseless flow of seductive trivialities which invoke neither reflection, nor choice but instant participation." (Oakeshott) The idea of the lacking of realness is one of the major themes carried out throughout the novel White Noise by Don DeLillo, especially through the device of the television. "For most people there are only two places in the world. Where they live and their TV set. If a thing happens on television, we have every right to find it fascinating, whatever it is." This theme of consumerism is one of the strongest driving forces in the novel, which explains why the role of the television is so important. "TV's commercial emergence coincides with the 'golden age' of Fordism." (McCarthy 2) The television thrives merely on the ratings that bring about an enlarged group of commercial viewers, and the more viewers, the more money is brought in through commercials and advertising. Although many people believe that they themselves are not influenced by advertising, no one can escape the brief moments of mind–numbing product awareness being drilled into their heads. Even if these advertisements do not cause some people to immediately go out and by the products, "commercial images linger in their minds, leaving shadowforms that shape perception and experience." (Yehnert 4) This idea is portrayed in White Noise when Jack and Murray go visit the Most Photographed Barn in America. (DeLillo 12–13) The image mediates everything, for the barn would be nothing special at all without the advertised title of "the most photographed". Knowing this about the barn, viewing it becomes "a new way of seeing and being". They advocate that having television at home is really beneficial if you watch it with some constraints. Television is not only a source of entertainment but of information too. It is possible to know what is happening across the globe by sitting comfortably in front of television (Wheatley, 2007). It is a sea of knowledge for those who watch the right channels. • 35. The History Of The Modern Monitor The History of the Modern Monitor What is a monitor? I myself, once thought of the monitor as merely an object sitting on my desk, displaying information from my computer. I never gave a second thought about a monitor's appearance or how a monitor worked in the first place. After reading through various books and articles, I have now obtained a different outlook on the subject; what I once saw as a simple desktop monitor, I now see as a magnificent invention people often overlook. From cathode ray tubes (CRT's) to organic light–emitting diodes (OLED's), the modern monitor has undergone many technological innovations to reach its current status ("History of Monitor Displays"). As a result of the monitor's rapid success, the average American household is now home to a wide variety of monitors: laptop monitors, desktop monitors, and several television monitors. How did it all begin? The very first monitor consisted only of lightbulbs that blinked when information was being transferred from a computer. This technology allowed the scientist to depict information being read by a computer (Edwards 2). Digital displays didn't make their first appearance till the 1920s; using the cathode ray technology pioneered by Sir William Crooke in 1878, Kenjiro Takayamagi made images appear on a screen, known as the first black and white television. The development of CVTs as computer monitors didn't happen till color television was developed after World War II. People wanted to use ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

  • 37. Technology And Its Impact On Modern Society In the past century, society has seen great leaps in technology that has connected people together more than ever, it has saved lives and continues to make day to day life simply easier to navigate. However, there are consequences to these advances. With people clamoring every year to get their hands on the newest iteration of their electronic devices, whether it be the latest iPhone, a more advanced computer or a high– definition television society must confront the problems it has created by its own desire for technology. As consumers purchase newer and better version of their old electronics the question of what happens to the old ones is raised. In 2005 alone, it was estimated that Americans disposed of two million tons of electronic products a year and that by 2010 that number would grow to four hundred million annually (Eilperin). This rate of disposal leaves behind piles of unwanted electronic devices and while many of these devices end up in junk drawers there are many more that end up in landfills where their toxic metal innards contaminate drinking water and soil. Or, devices are left to go to seed in some lonely warehouse long since abandoned by its own and there is always the possibility of devices being exported to poor countries where recycling regulations are lacks. The scope of the problem is not small as it is estimated that the hazard created by electronic waste threatens over one hundred million lives worldwide (Wood). To begin to understand why ... The X–ray tube is designed with the anode attach to the rotor and cathode on the other side of anode. This design determines the characteristics of X–ray beam. The cathode is a normal cathode is made up of negatively charge small coil wire called filaments, which is housed in focusing cup. The filament is negatively charged coil of wire which becomes heated when the electrical current passes through and when that energy becomes enough to expel the electrons from the filament its called Thermionic Emission. The function of cathode is to push out electrons which are produced by electric circuit and to turn those electron into a beam. The filament is contained in the cathode, usually design using a material known as Theorated tungsten. This theorated tungsten allows for a high temperature without the filament melting and there are different sizes of filament which can help to vary the spaceial resolution according to what is being x–ray. The anode has two primary functions, one is to convert electronic energy into x–radiation and the second one is to dissipate the heat created in the process. The part of the x–ray tube where x–radiation is produced is a large piece of metal that connects to positive side of electric current. And not just an ordinary member, but a very important one, because the time spent next to it exceeds the amount of time spent together with any other family member. You do not have to apply any efforts to talk or listen to complaints while "communicating" with it. It is so simple that it has become an integral part of the culture of every family. It is the only time, when a person can forget about all the family troubles and the failures of the day. The sofa opposite the TV set has become the place of "reconciliation and spiritual unity" of the family. And instead of playing together and having emotional talks people prefer to watch an episode from a thriller. Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... As the name implies it uses analogue techniques throughout to create the pattern on the display. Typically they use a cathode ray tube where the voltages on the x and y plats cause a dot on the screen to move. In the horizontal direction this is controlled by the time base, whereas in the vertical direction the deflection is proportional to the signal input. Essentially the signal is amplified and applied to the Y plates of the cathode ray tube. A cathode ray tube consists of a number of elements. There is an electron gun that generates an electron beam that is fired along the length of the tube. This beam passes by deflection plates that are used to deflect the beam, as a result of electrostatic attraction and repulsion, and finally the beam hits a phosphor coating on the "screen" creating a small dot of light. To assist in making the trace as clear as possible, intensity and focus controls are included. The focus ensures that the dot that scans the screen remains as sharp as possible and in this way it can deliver a clear trace. The intensity control is required because the intensity of the dot or trace varies according to the speed at which the scan is made. Controlling the intensity enables a clear trace to be obtained. Social Learning With Chimpanzees And Other Animals Learning by observation is a type of learning in which an individual observes the behavior of others, sees the consequences of the behaviors, and then attempts to carry out the same behavior. Social learning is based on the standards of classical and operant conditioning and observational learning. It is a commonly shared belief that people have an instinctive ability to imitate the behavior of others. However, this ability is not unique to humans. Animals have also showed evidence of being able to mimic humans and other animals (Mazur, 2013). Chimpanzees, or Pan Troglodytes, have demonstrated social learning through many different experiments in different settings. Chimpanzees have shown the ability to observe the behavior of a model and reproduce the behavior. However, chimpanzees have also demonstrated the mental capacity of understanding when behaviors do not elicit a desired reaction and not repeating these behaviors under these circumstances. This paper will focus on chimpanzees and their ability to learn new behaviors through social learning. Some of these programs are needed for the computer to run, but most have slipped themselves into your auto–loading queue so that they can accost you every time you start up your computer. Messenger programs are notorious for this, but there are many other programs that will automatically invite themselves into your Startup. And let 's face it: nobody likes an uninvited guest. But before you start getting trigger–happy and exterminating programs left and right, you need to give yourself a safety net. Go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > System restore. If you 've never seen this screen before, that 's probably a good thing. System Restore is basically a shield to protect against the inevitable mistakes we humans tend to make. While it automatically creates restore points, usually when a new program is installed, it 's beneficial to create your own restore point before altering anything on your computer. If in the event you do make a mistake, you can go back to System Restore and return your computer to a restore point. So select Create a Restore Point, then name ... Get more on HelpWriting.net ...

Televisions receive broadcast signals and turn them into pictures and sound. Although debated, the TV is often credited as being invented by Vladimir Zworykin a Russian–born American who worked for Westinghouse, and Philo Taylor Farnsworth, a boy in Beaver City, Utah. Vladimir held the patent for the TV, but it was Farnsworth who was the first person to first successfully transmit a TV signal on September 7, 1927. The television is a key component of our daily lives and is a marvel of engineering and utilisation of technology. Smartly incorporating complex electronic theories and concepts, the televisions has faced many developments and adaptations ... Show more content on Helpwriting.net ... A pixel is defined in television terms as the smallest area of a television image that can be shown within the parameters of the certain system. This process is accomplished by firstly analysing the image by using a photoelectric device in a series of horizontal scans from the top to the bottom of the image to create an electrical signal in which the colour and brightness values of the individual picture elements are represented as voltage levels of the respective video waveform; secondly, by transmitting the same respective values of the picture elements in a sequence as voltage levels of a video signal; and finally by reproducing the image of the original scene in a video signal display of parallel scanning lines on a viewing screen(Repairfaq.cis.upenn.edu, 2015) (wiseGEEK, 2015). The most primitive form of televisions relied on a cathode–ray tube to produce images, and operated with an analog signal(Lapin, 2015). As technology has developed over time and broadcast signals transitioned from analog to digital, LCD (liquid crystal display) and plasma televisions were created. These TVs are more compact, are flatter and have crisper pictures than their cathode–ray counterparts because the bulky tube is removed, and in its stead they use a thin grid of pixels to create the images (Repairfaq.cis.upenn.edu, 2015)(Computerhope.com, 2015) (Lapin, 2015) If the sound as you hear it from the television had ... The plastics used to make computers and televisions most contain polyvinyl chloride, which, when burned, produces dioxins. Plastics that don't contain polyvinyl chloride may contain brominated flame–retardants. Every electronic item can acknowledge chemistry for its creation. A main example that everyone knows of would be the television. Without chemistry, there would be no technology; and without technology, we would not be where we are today. Before television was invented people tried to find different ways to entertain themselves. One bizarre thing people used the do was to attend surgeries for entertainment. They found surgery to be very interesting and thrilling so they watched for their entertainment, almost like a TV show but in real life. The newer models of televisions contain plasma in their screens. Plasma screens are made up of groups of cells called pixels. These pixels are composed of three sub–pixels that consist of three different colors; green, red, and blue. "This technology uses a plasma etching system which is a type of plasma processing mainly used in fabricating integrated circuits. The process involves shooting a gas mixture of glow discharge or plasma towards a sample at very high speeds." (The Canadian News). The plasma, in gas state, reacts with phosphors in the television panel's sub–pixels to create colored light in green, red, or blue. A phosphor is a synthetic fluorescent or phosphorescent substance. The phosphors used are comparable to the ones used in traditional Cathode Ray Tube televisions and computer monitors. Cathode Ray tubes are a high–vacuum tube in which cathode rays produce a luminous image on a fluorescent screen. With plasma technology, televisions are now able to display richer, more dynamic, and more realistic colors than the CRT televisions (The Canadian News). Technology is affecting society in various ways today. The television has an impact on the behavior of adolescents that many would consider negative. For example, violence in media can cause youth violence. According to Brandon S. Materials and labor have been outsourced overseas currently by Vizio which is the most cost effective and efficient method under their business model. Labor in Mexico would definitely be less expensive than if the TVs were built in a US plant. The biggest question in my mind is if Vizio could move their headquarters to another country and still sell their products to US customers via their key outlets (Sam's Club and Costco) and the internet. This would give them a way to work around the "selling IN the US" by selling TO the US. That would be my recommendation to their CEO if the US government was to try to implement such a requirement. In an article in Inc. magazine, CEO of Vizio, William Wang was quoted saying, "the U.S. duty for TVs from Asia is 5 percent. So the duty is a little higher than the labor cost. There is no duty from Mexico." He is very well aware of the costs associated with each component in his production and is using each as efficiently as possible to keep production costs low. • 78. The Complexity Of Different Output Devices Essay Introduction When looking at things such as watching TV, browsing through the Internet or even looking at your mobile phone, it seems like something simple. However, this is not the case. Processes related to how information is received through devices are very complex, these are known as Display Output Devices. They are responsible for receiving data in different forms: images, videos, numbers, words, and even sounds. Examples of these devices include televisions, computer screens, mobiles, printers and cameras. This paper will discuss the complexity of different output devices, functions they carry out, and how the functions are carried out. (Output device, Wikipedia, 2014). Part 1 : projectors are output devices that take images already saved on computers or captured by mobiles and reflect these images on a flat surface. There are three types of projectors which are : LCD(liquid crystal display), DLP(digital light processing) and CRT (cathode ray tube ) and also there are two important things we must know before purchasing a projector which are the brightness and resolution. The quality of the brightness differs from one type to another so if we talk about LCD so the brightness lamp must be between 800 and 1000 to get a shiny image but for DLB the brightness lamp must be 1000 not less than this, but if we want to get a perfect clear image the resolution must be XGA or WXGA but VGA and SVGA more cheaper but give less quality compared to XGA or WXGA so if we want a ... Before the 1950s even though television was in existence, the average models for home use were not able to create the type of entertainment experience that one would get when going to the movie theater. In fact, even when home theater systems did start becoming available, they were not via television. Instead, they were through projector equipment. Of course back then the technology was only limited to showing 'home movies' or more infamously silent stag films, but it was still establishing a trend that would continue even until today.
