The History of Simply Education Ltd
Simply Education Ltd was established in January 2006 with a commitment to change the face of
educational recruitment. Since opening our doors we have worked hard to establish our
reputation as being honest, efficient and above all a supplier of quality teaching staff to the local
areas.

Simply Education’s work ethos over the last 3 years as suppliers of daily or long term and
permanent staff in the Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire & Northants region, has seen us
become one of the leading beacons in the educational environment .

Our greatest asset is our team which consists of six seasoned consultants with over thirty years
combined experience dedicated to providing a solution to your long term or        permanent
supply requirements.

The recent addition of the Cambridgeshire Consultant shows our commitment to growth and to
realise the companies vision of truly being the “Local Supply Agency”. We feel that we have

recruiters, Simply Education in its third year of trading are now a dominant force in the
recruitment and supply of teachers. With a compliment of ten staff members generating over
£3.5 Million turnover which represents a 37% year on year growth. This phenomenal growth has

Finding ‘THE’ Candidate
At Simply Education we have firmly established ourselves as one of the largest teacher
recruitment agencies in the Bedfordshire and Northamptonshire region. We have established a
reputation for quality teachers who are available for daily supply, short and long-term teaching.
In order to continue attracting quality candidates Simply Education need a clear and concise
recruitment plan.


Candidate Attraction
Simply Education make sure we use all available mediums to advertise and attract the correct
candidates. By advertising in twenty two local newspapers in the Herts ,Beds ,Bucks & Nhants
region we can be sure that Simply Education’s name is hitting our target market.


With the electronic advertising medium being where the bulk of the candidates are now
searching for that “perfect job” Simply Education have invested large sums of money into search
engines such as Yahoo and Google. The pay per click ensures that we stay at the top of these
search engines and optimise our position to attract candidates.

The majority of our candidates however are finding us. This is being done via our website and the
vacancies that we advertise. Our bespoke website is maintained by a team of professional Web
Designers who are able to make adjustments for us as the market trends change.

Candidate Registration
Once we have found that ideal candidate we arrange that they can have a minimum of an hour
long registration appointment with the consultant. This allows the trained consultant time to
meet the teacher and to assess key skills such as

          Qualifications and Teaching Experience
          English Language Skills
          General Demeanour and Attitude
          Full Medical History
          Any Gaps in Employment History

Should the candidate fail to meet any of the above criteria, the interview is halted and the
candidate will be informed that we would not be able to recruit them as they are not suitable.
In order to maintain the standard of our teachers , we adhere to the strictest guidelines outlined
by government policies and Simply Education’s desire to follow REC (Recruitment and
Employment Confederation) guidelines. These guidelines are to be followed by all recruitment
agencies that are registered members and display their logo.

As a member of the REC all our teachers are subject to the following stringent checks:
       List 99 (POCA) check every 3 months . REC require once a year.
       CRB Renewal and check every 18 months
       GTC check and registration ( EC Teachers Only)
       UK Naric Comparability and verification ( Overseas Trained Teachers)
       Signed Declaration of Rehabilitation of Offenders Act
       2 Professional References
       2 Proofs of Address
       Photographic Proof of Identification
       Full Medical Questionnaire
       Complete Work History
       Visas and Work permits are checked with UK Border Patrol
       Comprehensive one to one interview with trained recruitment consultant.

All of these checks are completed before a teacher becomes live on our system and is allowed in
a school.

NB. We encourage all schools to remain vigilant as these checks should be carried out by all
recruitment agencies and should be readily available should you at the school have a query.

Posting your Vacancy Online

Search Engine Optimisation
Simply Education invested time and money into driving high volume candidate traffic through to
our website. This is done by using a variety of search engine optimisation techniques and pay per
click advertising allowing us to be ranked highly in the most popular search engines. These
include Google, Yahoo and Microsoft MSN among others.
The Selection Process
While your vacancy is live your consultant will be refining the search to find the relevant
candidate. Once our consultant is certain they have the correct candidates for the vacancies they
will then forward the relevant CV’s onto you thereby allowing the head of department and
relevant bodies to arrange suitable dates for interview at your convenience.
Behind the Scenes
In the meantime, Simply Education’s highly efficient administration team are carrying out
stringent checks making sure that the relevant candidate is entitled to work with Children. These
checks are:
         List 99 (POCA)
         GTC registration Check
         UK Naric Comparability
         Relevant Work Permit/Visa Check (if applicable)
         Photographic Proof of ID
         2 Proof’s of Address
         2 Relevant reference checks
         Interview with an experienced trained consultant who will scrutinise their CV and ask
           Pertinent questions regarding all aspects of their career history.
