This document provides information on infection prevention and control strategies for the novel coronavirus (COVID-19). It discusses how the virus spreads through respiratory droplets and the importance of preventative measures like hand washing, social distancing, and respiratory etiquette. It also outlines the use of personal protective equipment for healthcare workers treating COVID-19 patients. Statistics are presented showing decreases in new COVID-19 cases in countries that implemented infection prevention strategies like lockdowns and dividing their areas into risk zones.
