1. It Expands
Expand ‘n Gro was introduced in the Spring of 2011. “Water
Activate” communication and visualization resonated with
consumers that something special and unique happens when
water is added. It EXPANDS! I was an advocate for this com-
munication and it was preferred over all other tested designs.
2. Gear Sport. It works hard for you!
Designed by Jon Fehrman, Design Consultant. Gear Sport develops
premium equipment gear for all competitive team sports, including
baseball, lacrosse, football, soccer and basketball.
3. DIFM : Do-it-for-me
Designed leave behind promotional door hangers for Scotts
Lawn Service. For Miracle-Gro, designed the logo for Pro-
fessional Tree & Shrub Care and the fleet graphics for small
trucks. Worked with vehicle application vendor to execute
graphics.

4. Logo design and development
Worked with internal departments to design logos for
self-promotion and identity. Scotts R&D, GBIS, Logistics,
Emergency Response Team, and the Credit Union.

Received patent award for contributions in the feeder design.
The most successful new product launch in Scotts history (<=
2006). Designed many of the finishing details on the feeder.
Directed the design development for all campaign materials,
including semi-truck & in-store displays.
7. Super Graphics
In support of the introductory launch for Miracle-Gro
LiquaFeed, extended the pack design into a full scale media
campaign. Campaign included displays, sales material, product
brochures, and fleet graphics.
8. Regional Relevancy
Integral to the design and execution of the photo realistic bird
Illustrations, Scotts Design Group challenged Illustrators to
develop birds to have unique, personable and ownable poses.
This strategic design influence gave Scotts a competitive ad-
vantage over the competition.
9. National Organic/Natural launch
In conjunction with the brand team, provided significant
direction with respect to the brand positioning, design
development and strategic oversight. Developed delineation
strategy for extending the Whitney Farms brand to alternative
communication methods.
10. Are you a Whitney Farmer?
Directed the design and development for this Whitney Farms
promotional brochure. Worked with the Regional Market-
ing Manager, a copywriter and internal design to create this
extension of the brand, offering a compelling reason to use
Whitney Farms natural and organic products.
11. Environment
Designed, engineered and built this platform deck with at-
tached pergola. The intent was to create an outdoor space
that was inviting and was a place to gather for family/friends
as well as a place to relax and enjoy the outdoors.
