1. Donation for Elderly person
Ramulamma : My name is Ramulamma. I am 80 years old. I got married when I was 19 years
old. My husband used to work as farmer. I also used to work on the farm with my husband. We
have three sons and one daughter. We have own house in Loddipalle village. Two of my sons
died when they were very young. My husband passed away due to Jaundice. I got my third son
and my daughter married and settled .My third son was also a farmer. After marriage, my son
and my daughter-in-law were taking care of me, and I also used to work as a daily wage worker.
As I got older I didn’t have the energy to work, and then my son and my daughter-in-law started
neglecting me and brought to SERUDS old age home. My son and daughter-in-law occasionally
come to see me. I am diabetic, and spend my time in the old age home watching TV and
listening to songs.
Venkata Subbamma : My name is Venkata Subbamma. I am currently 70 years old. I was
married at the age of 20. My husband was a worker in hotel in Nandikotkur town. We don’t
have any sons and daughters. We used to live in rented house in Nandikotkur village. My
husband died of a heart attack. I had adopted my sister’s son and educated him. He got
married. After marriage, he was not taking care of me. So, I was brought to SERUDS Old Age
Home by my relatives. As I am old, I have knee pain. I spend time telling stories.

2. E Balamma : My name is E.Balamma. I am currently 81 years. I got married when I was 20
years old. My husband was a Gounda. We have two sons and one daughter. We lived in rented
house. My husband died in an accident by falling from a building. My two sons took good care
of me for a few days after my husband died. After few days my daughter-in-law had fights with
me. This created quarrels between my son and his wife. They were not taking responsibility for
my health care. My daughter saw my sad situation. So I was admitted to SERUDS old age home
by my daughter. In the old age home I help in cutting vegetables; I enjoy telling stories to my
friends.
