1. These slides illustrate the results of a demonstration study carried out by the NIHR GSTFT/KCL
Biomedical Research Centre. Seven members of the public were given personal pollution
monitors (monitoring black carbon, an indicator of combustion, principally diesel vehicle
exhaust) and GPS watches to carry throughout their normal day on 10th December 2012.
The results are presented here to highlight the varying levels of pollution they were exposed to
throughout their day. An accompanying podcast can be heard here:
