Het doel van CAMPIONE is radicaal: onderhoud voor chemiebedrijven 100% voorspelbaar maken. Waardoor de productiviteit, beschikbaarheid en veiligheid van productiemiddelen significant worden verbeterd, tegen lagere kosten. Fieldlab CAMPIONE bestaat uit een centraal fieldlab in Gilze en Rijen waar een testinstallatie staat waar alle CAMPIONE-partners gebruik van kunnen maken om nieuwe technologieën die onderhoud voorspelbaar maken, te kunnen testen. Daarnaast zijn er een aantal Living Labs operationeel: deze Living Labs zijn onderdeel van bedrijven waar ook soortgelijke testen gedaan kunnen worden. De testen gaan voornamelijk over het inzetten van sensoren die de belasting van een installatie meten.
