The institutional National Day of France is July the 14th.
It takes place on that date from 1880.
On July the 14th, a military parade takes place on the
Champs-élysées, military parades and ceremonies are held
in most towns and fireworks light the cities on the nights of
the 13th, 14th and 15th of July.
4. It was established to commemorate the feast of
the 1790 federation, national unity day, and not
just for the taking of the Bastille. In France it is
not a working day and it is celebrated with great
parties.
