education by 2015,based on the ratios of
girls to boys in primary, secondary and
tertiary education, increase the number of
women in paid employment outside the
agricultural sector, and increase the number
of female MP’s.”
Women only make up 17% of the
Parliamentarians World wide.

Overall – 45 women in 129 seats (34.8%)
SNP- 19 women in 69 seats (27.5%)
Labour- 17 women in 37 seats (45.9%)
Conservatives- 6 women in 15 seats (40%)
Liberals- 1 women in 5 seats (20%)
Greens- 1 women in 2 seats (50%)
The only independent Is a women.

3. Ups and Downs…
The Number of women in the Scottish Parliament
has Risen since the 2007 election from 43 to 45.
However, this is still not as high as it was in 2003
where 39 % of the MSPs in Parliament were
women.
