8D is a problem-solving methodology for product and process problems.
It is structured into eight disciplines, emphasizing team synergy. The team as whole is better and
smarter than the quality sum of the individuals. Each discipline is supported by a checklist of
assessment questions, such as “what is wrong with what”, “what, when, where, how much”.
SPC is the statistical process control (Statistical Process Control). Mainly refers to the application of statistical analysis technology for real-time monitoring of the production process.
Cpk is the English process Capability index abbreviation, process capability index, refers to the process in a certain period of time, in a controlled state (steady state) under the actual processing capacity.
6 Sigma is a business process that significantly increases its bottom line gains by designing and monitoring its daily business activities, minimizing waste of resources while improving customer satisfaction.
8D is used to monitor the process of solving the problem. It is not a detailed report or a complex analysis and description tool, but a collection of each step that contains a solution to the problem, so that the basic information can be found from it.
