This document is a project presentation on the coexistence of Wi-Fi and Li-Fi toward 5G networks. It discusses how internet and mobile data usage is increasing globally, with video streaming becoming a major source of traffic. It proposes a hybrid Li-Fi and Wi-Fi system to provide higher data rates than Wi-Fi alone, while being more tolerant of large numbers of users. The presentation describes two types of implementation methods and evaluates system attributes like throughput over distance and during blockages. It concludes that a combined Li-Fi and Wi-Fi system has potential to address future high-speed indoor internet demands, such as for virtual reality applications.

Introduction
As the Internet of Things comes, humanization becomes servile
dependent on it. According to ITU , globally, number of internet users
increased by 10% from 2010 to 2014. Additionally, Cisco Visual
Networking Index (Global Mobile Data Traffic Forecast Update (2014–
2019)) predicts that, approximately 50 percent of the traffic is expected
to be offloaded to Wi-Fi, means for Indoor applications, in 2016.
Furthermore, latest Cisco’s forecast report suggest that nearly 80%
global internet traffic will be consumed by video streaming, which
demands higher data rate. So, we should have future system that
promise the higher data rate with less or not prone to number of users.
The Li-Fi or VLC with Wi-Fi system solves the problem of higher data
rate with intolerance against number of users. So, here, proposed Li-
Fi + Wi-Fi system can solve the problem of future internetworking.
5. Conclusion
In future with the advancement of GUI and the applications like virtual
reality will demand high speed internet and most of such application
are run at indoor environment. So proposed system has great potential
to serve user of such application. Furthermore, the problem of flash
crowd can be solved that might be arisen at the sports stadium or
similar kind of place.
On other side,
The proposed system has wide scope of improvement. The
disadvantages of the system can be tackled at some extent with the
help of sophisticated algorithm and DSP processors.
•The highly vulnerability towards the light other than light from
luminaires.
•Smaller change in alignment can cause great degradation in
throughput.
