4. The Greenhill School Promotes
Atmosphere of Learning
Some 1,200 students attend Greenhill, which was founded
in 1950 and stands as the largest independent school in the
Dallas area. Greenhill’s faculty includes 171 professionals;
63% of them have earned advanced degrees. Class sizes
are small, with an average of 16 students, so that all
children receive ample attention from teachers and
discussion can flourish. Language requirements include
Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.
5. The Greenhill School Promotes
Atmosphere of Learning
The Montgomery Library is one of Greenhill’s strong points.
Librarians work to instill in younger students a lifelong love
of reading and teach them how to use the online catalog.
Middle school students develop their reading skills further,
while older students learn how to conduct database
searches and research for papers.
