Editor's Notes
You must pick up your race pack from the ExCel centre before the race – and see us!
It might seem daunting to travel to the start line, but your body and mind will be fresh. Travelling back out to Blackheath from the finishing line will be far worse!
Mainline stations: Clapham Junction and East Croydon. Staying away from central London may also be cheaper if you’re on a budget.
It is vital you attend, as this is where you will pick up your race number and chip timer without which you won’t be able to take part!
It is held at the ExCel Centre, the nearest station is Customs House on the DLR. This is zone three, so make sure you have the correct amount or ticket or use your contactless card.
Can’t attend running show: You will need to contact London Marathon directly to let them know. Someone can pick up your race pack in your stead, but they will need ID and written consent from you to do so. Check all is okay with London Marathon before doing this.
Need to remember London will be very busy, hard to get around
We have two cheer station, one around mile 11, outside Bermondsey station and one at mile 25 along Embankment. Everyone is welcome
