Apply packages and patches using Rpm and Yum.
Remove packages as per Audit Report.
Creation of Volume groups, Logical Volumes and File systems as per new application
requirements in LVM.
Supporting daily ticket in increasing space for the File systems configured in LVM.
Worked on Low, Medium and High priority tickets as per Audit.
Setting up the environments for the new Databases (Oracle 9 and MYSQL) like creating the
Filesystems in LVM.
Investing the system performance issue (CPU, Memory, Disk Space, iostat and top) through
Copper EGG that being reported by the application support team/Database team and
analysing the root cause for the spike and taking appropriate actions.
Configured NIC bonding.
Modifying kernel parameters as per requirement.
Creating & Managing the RAID 0, 1, 5 Volumes – to Create, Resize, Recover & Remove the
Volumes & Mirroring as per requirement.
Monitoring alerts and reporting to Application Database Teams.
New user provision.
Handling change request for any changes in Production and Development
Interacting with customers’ through email and phone for fixing issues and bugs.
3. Configuring and monitoring Cron jobs in Linux.

LVM:
Creation of Volume groups, Logical Volumes and File systems.
Increase the Logical Volumes on fly.
Reduce the Logical Volumes.
Decommission/removing LVM completely from the host.
Exporting / Importing a Volume Group.
Create and Extend/Reduce Swap space on LVM.
