Scott Voss is a biology teacher who enters ultimate fighting competitions to raise money to save the school's music program from being cut. He trains hard and starts winning fights, which helps him become a better teacher. In his final championship fight, Scott fights dramatically and wins, raising enough money to save the music program. His victory also makes him a hero at the school.

1. “Here comes the boom” summary
The movie “here comes the boom” tells the story of Scott Voss, a biology teacher who
works in a high school and become an Ultimate fighting fighter to win money for saving
the musical program of the school.
Mr. Voss is a good person and teacher, but he has lost his spark to teach, so he just goes
to the school and not put effort in teaching, in the same way, his students do not pay
attention to his class. Then we have Marty, who is a teacher of music, he loves teaching
and his students love him and the class. Later, Marty finds out that his wife is pregnant,
although they are old. One day the principal from the school says in a meeting that the
school needs to cut some budgets, so they have to cut the music program. Mr. Voss
discusses very hard with the principal to help his colleague to not get fired, and the end,
he says that all the teachers will give the 48.000 dollars to save the program;
unfortunately, just the nurse of the school, Bella, helps them.
Scott does not even know what to do to solve this big problem, so he decides to do some
extra classes at night in a citizen program as a start; here he meets Niko, who is an ex
Ultimate fighting fighter. Mr. Voss realizes that he could win a lot of money in those kinds
of fights, even if he loses or win the fights. He is so desperate that he begins training;
despite he is really bad at it. With the past of the time, Scott starts winning a lot of money
with the amateur fights, and he becomes a better person and teacher, because he realizes
that people need to do the biggest effort and fight every day for themselves and for
others, he enjoys again teaching and his students do respect him now.
Later, Scott receives the opportunity to fight in the real Ultimate fighting champions, and
with this fight he could win the last 10.000 dollars that they need, even if he loses,
because it is going to be 50.000 dollars reword for the winner and 10.000 for the loser.
They are waiting for the fight, when they find out in the news that the vice principal of the
school was embezzling the funding of the school, therefore Scott has to win the fight now
to save the music program. He fights dramatically with all his soul and win thanks to the
support from Marty, Bella, Niko and all the students of the school.
Finally, the music program is saved and Scott becomes the hero and one of the best
teachers in the school.
