• Tseung Kwan O area was administered with
two independent parishes: Tiu Keng Leng and
Hang Hau
• Fr. Willy Wammes was appointed to take
care of the Hang Hau area. St. Vincent’s Parish
covered Hang Hau village and all the small
villages around Clear Water Bay stretching
from Fei Ngo Shan to Tai O Mun
1954 - Some CICM Missionaries settled in
Rennie’s Mill
1955 - Fr. A. Palmers, started a small primary
school and began to serve the residents of
Hang Hau, which at that time was a small
fishing village
1958 - Apostolic work around Tseung Kwan O
was assigned to CICM

1970 - Building of St. Vincent’s Parish was
officially completed. Thanksgiving and Sunday
Masses were held in newly built church
1989 - Diocese re-assigns area around Fu
Ning Garden, Hang Hau new estate and Clear
Water Bay to St. Vincent’s Parish
2000 - CICM hands over the administration
of St. Vincent’s Parish back to the Hong Kong
Diocese
2004 - Chinese name of St. Vincent’s Church
was renamed as “聖雲先堂”
parish called St Andrew’s Parish
2008 - On 1.1.2008, St Vincent’s and St
Andrew’s were combined to form one parish
called St Andrew’s Parish
