1. Cement Plant – Detail Report about Technologies and machines Requirements
Cement plants prove to be a very lucrative business especially in a developing country. In any place
where the construction industry is thriving, cement plants are sure to enjoy a spike in their profits. This
is the reason why big ticket businessmen are keen about setting up a cement plant in the fast improving
cities of the world.
Setting up a cement plant requires not just money, legal papers, and expertise. On top of all these, you
will need the right equipment and machinery that would produce high quality cement that you’ll
distribute to the many construction companies around you. Cement plants can either be big or small.
Right now, there are mini cement plants that are very easy to setup. These mini plants have the capacity
of manufacturing at least 50 tons of cement in any given day.
A cement plant consultant should be able to provide you with all the information that you need about
the technical detail of setting up such plant, including its overall costs and power or fuel consumption.
While cement plants are ideally installed in rural areas, the mini plants can easily be set up in an urban
zone because of its relatively small space requirements.
To set up a cement plant you are going to need a land, a building, electrical supplies, and the main
cement manufacturing machinery. The building in your plant would house your main factory shed and
that would include the storefront, electrical room, workshop, and the blower room, among others. It
will also be where the laboratory and the offices are located. As for the electrical requirements, you will
need to build an electrical panel board comprised of the main power transformer, switches, starters,
and diesel generator. The diesel generator is only needed if you decide to make your plant run on fuel.
Certain laboratory equipments, pollution control equipments, and workshop equipments are also
required.
The plant machinery itself is the most crucial element in setting up a cement plant. The machinery
consists of 10 different sub parts and each of them has to be installed in full expertise so that the plant
will be able to produce the yield expected of it.
