4. PROCUREMENT
In the procurement process ,RB Bangladesh collects
raw materials ,packaging materials and finished
goods.RB collects their raw materials from Indonesia,
Malaysia, India and from Bangladesh too.RB produce
only the Dettol sop.Harpic,Mortein Coil and Dispirin and
the packaging materials of these product are also been
collected from Bangladesh. Whatever the raw materials
they procure, they procure it through third party.
• MN International
• Haque and Quazi International.
RB Bangladesh import Mortein Aerosol from Indonesia
and Malaysia.
Veet from Pakistan,India and France.
Lysol from India.
These are considered as procurement of finished goods.
5. MANUFACTURING
RB has two manufacturing plant in Bangladesh. One
of them is in Dhaka and the other is in Chittagong.
In Dhaka Factory RB produces Dettol soap and
Dispirin .In Chittagong they produce Harpic and
Mortein Coil.
6. DISTRIBUTION
Like the production plan , RB has two warehouses in
Dhaka and Chittagong. Both of these warehouses
store products that comes from the manufacturing
plant of Dhaka , Chittagong and imported finished
products that come from abroad. For making the
distribution more easy and efcient RB has divided
the whole Bnagladesh in two regional areas-
BD EAST
BD WEST
7. TRANSPORTATION
Another significant part of RB ‘s distribution is their
transportation system.RB has an association with the
Mamun Transportation Agency. They fix the
transportation. RB has a fixed allotment of vehicles for
regular use. If RB requires more delivery they have to
inform the agency at least seven days ago.
8. ADVANTAGE
By using third party association in supply chain
management RB can collect raw materials and
produce product at a minimum cost, which could be
higher if they attempt to do it for their own. So the
profit becomes maximized because of using the
third party association.
9. DISADVANTAGES
By using third party RB loss control over the
process.Thouugh RB has a buy back contract but
the implementation of this contract has no value in
practice because RB has to place an order before
buying as the scarcity of raw materials. As a result
RB can not ensure the quality they promise.
As RB has an alliance with Mamun Transport
Agency and do not have any transportation system
for its own, sometimes the schedule do not
matches with RB’s demand of vehicles and the
availability of vehicles of agency.
