Made of a
solid material
The architecture of your house, its surroundings
and your personal taste determine which mate-
rial you should choose for your new mailbox.
Many of the models are available in powder
coated galvanised steel in all colours, so that
you can let your imagination run wild (see page
6). Choosing galvanised steel gives you a more
rustic look.
If you want a mailbox with a patinated finish,
then copper is one exciting option. Copper
obtains its characteristic green colour over time.
Stainless steel, on the other hand, retains its
clean, pure look year after year.
A mailbox made from aluminium is the best
option if you want a light mailbox and if you live
in a climate requiring high weather resistance.
MEFA gives you the options – the choice is

Accessories that
make a difference
You have plenty of options to choose from when
combining the right solution. The main thing is
of course the mailbox itself. How large and
spacious should it be, and how should it look?
But your choice of pole, name plate and any
lighting also help make your mailbox unique.
For example, you can choose between arched
and square poles that make the mailbox stand
out in different ways, each with their combined
solution.

Colours always add a bit of spice to life.
For a small additional charge you can therefore
choose exactly the colour you want for your
MEFA Judo (640), MEFA Jade (870), MEFA
Quartz (825) or MEFA Pearl (872) mailbox.
Choose between more than 60 different RAL
colours from the entire rainbow palette.
All of a robust, factory-finished quality.
You can make the colour match existing parts
of your house, for example. Or you can play
around with contrasts and choose a distinctive,
signal colour to bring new life to your entrance

In his design work Jørgen Klinkby
focuses on creating clear, func
tional design and form-related

Lewis Designers has designed
numerous world-renowned and
prize-winning products. David
Lewis and his partner Torsten
Valeur are currently running the
design studio with a small group
of staff and take on assignments
for international clients such as
BANG & OLUFSEN, VOSS, HEKA
DENTAL and CT COIN.
With its innovative design of
MEFA U:F:O, David Lewis Desig-
ners has set a new standard for
the mailbox design of the future.
The design is original and full of
character but is still able to blend
discretely with the surroundings.
Despite its airy lightness, the mail-
box is surprisingly spacious.

Alice Bigom trained at the Aarhus
School of Architecture and is a
partner at ‘ABO Plan and Arkitek-
tur’ in Bergen, Norway.
The daughter of a mailbox manu-
facturer, she grew up in Denmark.
MEFA Wave is designed as an
antithesis to traditional, square
mailboxes, inspired by waves
and wind with a circle sector as
its basic form. MEFA Wave was
originally designed for the Norwe-
gian market, but there was little
interest in designer mailboxes in
Norway in the 1990s, and the
design of Wave was therefore
completed in partnership with
MEFA and introduced in Denmark
in 1998.
Since then, MEFA Wave has gone
on to becoming Denmark’s most
popular designer mailbox!

MEFA Pole 22 is a simple and small,
arched pole that sits discretely in the
background once the mailbox has
been fitted. Most MEFA mailboxes
can be fitted directly onto the pole.
However, MEFA U:F:O (650) must
be fitted using the MEFA mounting

1. ”MEFA Easy Mounting”
– it doesn’t get easier than
this!
You can quickly and easily install
your new MEFA mailbox with “MEFA
Easy Mounting”.
MEFA Easy Mounting eliminates the
need for heavy duty soil and con-
crete work, and it is easy to position
the pole vertically. The system is
also highly flexible. Replacing the
MEFA pole is easy, as is moving it by
simply pulling up the earth rods and
repositioning the mounting rails.
“MEFA Easy Mounting” is purchased
