• The eldest son of the family gets honoured being believed as the
most obedient and successor to take care of the family if the
father dies too and symbol of auspiciousness.
•Rituals- Maternal uncle sends new clothes or money to buy new
clothes for the eldest child of the family (Nephew). Then the eldest
child is worshipped with a aarti by the mother only with the new
dress worn.
•Food - Enduri pitha is the most relished food of the day.
A cake made of batter and coconut mixed with jaggery stuffings
made in steaming process with turmeric leaf wrapped.
The dish in which the pitha is made is called Atharhandi.
3. Prathamastami Campaign summary
• Took Dharitri and BIG FM as media partners to blow up prathamastami .
•Uncle/Nephew fbb style tips contest designed where uncle calls in the
0674-3927927 number to give style tips to nephew taken in concall by BIG FM Rj
and 10 best style tips winners gets felicitated at BB-Forum on prathamastami day
with 1500/- worth of fbb merchandise.
•Print adv in Dharitri with 6 fashion offers (4 range highlight and 2 offerings) on
18th Nov.
•Launch done by BIG BAZAAR employees and customers acting as uncle for the
sri maa ananda ashrama children to do the prathamastami rituals treating them
with enduri pitha and gifting new fbb clothes as a noble gesture who miss the
bonding during the festival to connect well in the society in 17th Nov.
•Press coverage of the launch event in more than 15 news papers and promotion
in big fm from 17th nov – 21st nov.
•VM décor with fbb printed balloons and danglers and closure on 21st Nov
