The petitioners Chandni and another have challenged an FIR registered under Sections 363, 366 IPC at Police Station Kamrauli, District Amethi. They have approached the court due to harassment by police after the invocation of the Uttar Pradesh Prohibition of Unlawful Religious Conversion Ordinance, 2020. The petitioners married out of their own will three years ago and are living peacefully with their one and a half year old child. The court has granted the state a week to seek instructions and listed the matter thereafter, providing that till the next date of listing, the petitioners shall not be harassed by police based on the impugned FIR.

This writ petition has been filed challenging FIR
registered at case Crime No.0611 of 2017, under
Sections 363, 366 I.P.C., Police Station Kamrauli,
District Amethi.
Issue notice to respondent no.4 returnable at an
early date. Steps be taken with a week.
Learned counsel for the petitioners submits that
the petitioners have been compelled to approach
this court at present due to harassment by the
police after invocation of Uttar Prdesh Prohibition
of Unlawful Religious Conversion Ordinance, 2020.
Petitioner nos.1 and 2 have married out of their
own sweet will three years back and they are
living peacefully and enjoying their matrimonial
life. They also have one child aged one and a half
year.
Learned A.G.A. prays for and is granted a week's
time to seek instructions in this matter.
List thereafter.
Considering the entire aspect of the matter, it is
hereby provided that till the next date of listing,
the petitioners shall not be harassed by the police
on the basis of the impugned F.I.R.
