SaaSworthy's first-ever report measures the impact of COVID-19 on SaaS software popularity. That the COVID-19 crisis has shifted the way the world works is no surprise. The pandemic has transformed industries overnight and has made remote work the norm. And to enable companies and employees to manage remote working comfortably, SaaS software played an essential role. That's what we aimed to find out at SaaSworthy as we looked at SaaS software categories and software that saw the highest jump in searches during the peak of the global pandemic. There were also software categories that witnessed a decline in popularity amidst the corona crisis, and the report mentions them too. We also looked at which software categories and software were most searched during this time.

2. Overview
This report looks at how popularity of software categories changed during the peak of the global
coronavirus pandemic. It also identifies software that saw the highest growth in popularity as well as
software with the most volume of searches in that time period.
1. The data in the report is based on searches for software and software categories on SaaSworthy, and
is further corroborated with various third-party sources
2. We have considered March and April 2020 as the time period when the effect of COVID-19 was at its
peak
3. We compared January and February 2020 search volume data with March and April 2020 data to see
how the global pandemic affected software searches
4. We only considered software that had 100+ searches in January and February 2020 to identify software
with the highest growth in popularity during lockdown
