1. ENDER’S GAME IDEA 2 - RATIONALE
This is my second idea for the Ender’s Game magazine cover. The design is based
around the face of ender; made up of straight lines, half of his face is covered in
darkness. I used the colour blue as I thought it fitted well with the Sci-fi theme of the
movie. I adjusted the highlights and shadows of ender’s face in Photoshop, then put it
into illustrator to create the 2-tone vector style and then put it back into Photoshop to add
colour. I like the idea of the contrasting colours either side of the design and I think that if
the design were printed, the blue colour would look great varnished. It is a simplistic style
but works very well and I believe the target audience would enjoy it as well.
