1. Colour Wheels
A basic colour wheel is made up of 12 colours, which are then divided up into groups. Primary
colours include yellow, red and blue. Secondary colours are made up of an even mixture from the
2 primary colours that are on each side it on the colour wheel. Tertiary colours are colours that are
made up from an even mixture of the secondary and primary colour either side of it on the colour
wheel. Complementary colours are 2 colours that are on opposite sides of the colour wheel and
“compliment” each other and look good together. Triad colours are 3 colours that have equal
distance between them on the colour wheel that go well together.
