Sheet Metal Worker With Aircraft Parts Fabrication Experience
1. Robert Barber
In my role as a sheet metal worker for Hyde Aero Products, UK, I was
required to follow drawings and fabricate the required Aircraft parts, for
our customers AIRBUS, BOEING, BAE, etc, by marking out, then using
guillotines, band saws, routers and tin snips to cut to size.
Manipulation of the part would be with the use of folders, rollers, presses,
english wheel, shrinkers/stretchers and hammers of various types.
The use of drills, fly presses, linishers, grinders, Drills, hand files and
orbital sanders would be used to finish to Aircraft standards and I am ITAR
cleared.
I have past experience with various machines ie Lathe’s,milling etc and
have two City & Guilds certificates for CNC part programming/computer
aided engineering and would be more than willing to learn new machinery.
My role required me to carry out daily maintenance to various machinery,
band saws, guillotines, power press/drop hammer.
I am a good communicator, problem solver and can work within a team or
on my own.
I am hard working, work in a safe and organised manor, goal oriented,
punctual, Willing to work shifts, reliable and willing to learn new skills.
I have forklift, gantry/overhead crane, work safely at heights and senior
first aid certificates.
I have a Blue/White card, own reliable transport and a clean currant
driving licence.
Yours faithfully
