• You can install while restarting or shutting your computer

• Hackers can attack your data if patches are not
installed, when a patch is released it means
there is a security hole.
• Automatic updates should be turned on for
most software (Flash, Adobe Reader, Chrome)

6. It’s Not as Bothersome as You Think
• Automatic Updates has been improved for
Windows 7 and 8
• After installation you have to reboot
• Windows 8 can wait up to 3 days till boot
• With Windows 8 you won’t be bothered with
the reboot messages

7. This registry hack prevents automatic
reboots
• With registry hack, you can avoid the
automatic reboots.
• The registry hack settings can be changed in
the group policy on Windows Professional and
Enterprise Editions.

8. Big problems are rare
• Blue screens are sometimes occurred
• Driver updates might break the driver
• These problems are extremely rare
• MacFree antivirus is not recommended because it
makes computer unbootable
• Not installing security updates can infect your
computer (botnets)
• Can be fixed with System Restore

• You can choose what you want to install with
Windows Updates settings
• You can install them on your own schedule
