Project
Details
Project Name : High speed Modeling of GLCM for image processing on FPGA.
Description : Here the main objective of this project is to obtain high speed
modeling of GLCM for image processing on FPGA. This gives the edge detected matrix
coefficient when it is subjected to GLCM process. GLCM includes comparison of pixel values,
hence the edge detected values are obtained output of the above process is simulated on
Altera Cyclone IV FPGA. This performs the edge detection by using gray-level co-occurrence
matrix (GLCM) algorithm by using the concept of comparison of adjacent pixel values which
is helpful in detecting the discontinuities in a image. This proved that the GLCM is a robust
method for edge detection with competitive performance.
Team : 4 members
Roles and Responsibilities: As one of the core team member, I involved in requirements
gathering and built a prototype of the system. I have simulated the system using Quarry.
Environment : Altera FPGA kit, Verilog, Quarry
