2. Before I started the MCBS Program... I would
spend time making reidiculous home movies with
my friends around the neighborhood.
3. We had a weird fixation on murder mystery films so I’ve
always thought working with video would be something I
wanted to do.
4. I had always thought I wanted to... go into a video production career, I
enrolled into the technical video production program and spent the last two
years of high school working the local television station and shooting football
games.
5. I spent some time at the local community college taking
general courses and like my fellow classmates became
disinterested.
6. But then... I became more interested in things besides
working only on video.
7. I understood that what I was passionate about was media and being
designated only to video wasn’t the way I wanted to go and the time I had spent
in high school would not go to waste.
8. Because of that... I realized my experience in video
production would apply in a modern and evolving media
centered world we live in today.
9. Being able to express your messages via video and audio
would be an essential avenue that I would access in a
career dealing with media.
10. Because of that... I understood a career in media
communications would be an ideal career for me.
11. Taking the things I love in life and sharing my thoughts
through different mediums was a logical decision for me to
make.
12. Until finally... I decided to start up my own personal blog to
share my favorite and sometimes self produced media with
the world.

13. The combination of blog websites like Tumblr, audio
websites like SoundCloud, and video websites like Vimeo,
a modern person can host and aggregate any kind of
media on their own accord and for absolutely free.

14. And ever since I decided to pursue my passion for
media... I’ve felt my place in life and I’m hoping the Media
Communications program with give me all the tools I need
to get into that industry and find my own outlet.
15. The New Media Tools course will be an interesting time,
the exploration of a new tool is challenging and rewarding.
16. Because of that... I started exploring online media outlet
websites like IGN, Metacritic, and YouTube.

17. Where multiple mediums are used to share information
about the latest media trends. The success of these
websites made clear to me that media is evolving and
allowing new jobs to be created.
