The Saratoga City Council assigned a work task to the Traffic Safety Commission TSC to put together a plan to address the crime issues in Saratoga at a meeting held on March 28th 2016 the annual joint meeting with Traffic and Safety Commission. TSC got to work on it; inputs towards this plan were collected from Saratoga citizens, our Sheriff’s department, Sunnyvale Police and San Francisco Police departments.
This plan was presented by the Traffic and Safety Commission to the Saratoga City Council in a public meeting on Sept 7th.
•The primary objective of the Plan is to provide Saratoga residents with the education and tools to assist law enforcement in deterring property crime thereby maintaining the identity that drew us to Saratoga. The plan was approved.
The city manager is now putting together an execution plan based on this recommendation that will gather input from City Council and citizens
