The Fraternal Order of Police's Law Enforcement Families Readiness Initiative (LEFRI) assists law enforcement agencies in creating disaster and crisis readiness plans for officers' families. The LEFRI was created because officers may need to remain on active duty for long periods during crises, preventing them from attending to their families' safety and well-being. The Fraternal Order of Police is the largest law enforcement association in the world with over 330,000 members across more than 2,200 lodges.
