scores, Interview Preparation with practicing Program Directors
and/or active Deans and Chairs, curriculum vitae and personal
statement editing and revamping, ERAS application editing and
revamping, ACGME core competencies training, interview prep,
speech pathology, and even residency placement opportunities into
highly competitive ACGME accredited residency training programs.
Match week, when medical school graduates find out if they've
succeeded in landing a residency, is a defining event for aspiring
medical doctors across the country and a culmination of years of
study.

3.  The National Resident Matching Program is a private, non-profit
organization created in 1952 for the purpose of placing medical
school graduates in the various residency training programs located
across the country using a mathematical algorithm. The intent of the
program is to provide applicants and programs with a consistent and
uniform schedule for the training selection process.
The official matching process begins in the fall when students submit
their applications to be reviewed by the residency programs, who
then invite a select number of applicants to be interviewed (which
typically occurs between October and February). Following the
interview process, the applicant and the program each compiles a
rank order list (ROL), ranking their preferences in the order of most
to least preferred. Using the matching algorithm and ROLs, the
matching process is carried out until each applicant has either been
tentatively matched or their options have been exhausted.
