students pursue acceptance in a US residency program. Residents Medical’s
services include assistance with building strong interview and
communications skills. Interviews with medical-residency Program Directors
(PD) are the final part of the application process, making proficiency in this
area of vital importance. During this exchange, directors look beyond a
candidate’s academic knowledge and evaluate their ability to communicate
and present themselves professionally.
To prepare medical students for this phase of their journey, RM utilizes a
training approach that offers personal guidance and furthers understanding
of the residency interview experience. Students receive support from a
current PD who provides insight on the questions PD’s will ask and the
appropriate types of response. Coaching is based on assessments of the
individual’s curriculum vitae and aids students in identifying strengths and
weaknesses through mock interviews.
