Project Description:
This project involved building the data warehouse from scratch for utilizing the functionalities of the data
generated by the bank specific module. This project involved utilizing the data saved by the bank is excel and
other tables in redundant form and converting and saving them in proper tables in a data warehouse. The project
involved staging area, loading dimension tables and fact tables. Bank has primarily stored data in multiple excel
files, which was getting difficult for the bank to analyze.
Role and Responsibilities:
 Requirements gathering and requirement analysis.
 Extensively used Informatica Power center for loading the data from various sources involving flat files and
oracle tables to Data warehouse
 Creating new mappings and workflows with business logic.
 Analyzed the sources, targets, transformed the data, mapped the data and loaded the data into the data
warehouse.
 Used various transformations like Source Qualifier, Expression, Aggregator, Joiner, Filter, Lookup, Update
Strategy Designing and optimizing the Mapping.
 Developed Workflows using task developer, worklet designer, and workflow designer in Workflow manager and
monitored the results using workflow monitor.
 Developed complex mappings in Informatica to load the data from various sources.
