POST OPERATIVE CONSIDERATIONS
• Expect certain precautions
after surgery
• Pain may increase as you
become more active
• Keep wound dry until staples
are removed
• Your temperature may be
slightly elevated for several
days after surgery
• Swelling is normal
• Follow physician orders
related to driving

operative function. Hence the more you exercise
and strengthen your muscles prior to surgery, the
better your outcome will be after surgery!
