It was the second children of 5 children, all boys.
His father
was Lodovico di Leonardo di Buonarroti di
Simoni and his mother was Francesca Neri di
Miniato del di Siena. His mother died in 1481,
when he was six years old. His family lived in
Florence .

5. Simone Buonarroti family lived in Florence for more
than three hundred years and had belonged to the party
of the Guelphs, many of whom had held public office.
