Database Administrator
Description:
It is designed to fully automate all processes related to enforcement and compliance of the legal requirements under
the Companies Act. Among others, MCA-21 envisages electronic filing of documents, registration of companies and
public access to corporate information online through a secure interactive portal.
Responsibilities:
 Database(DB2 UDB) maintenance and support
 Tuning db and instance level parameters
 Working heavily on Database restores including redirected restores within production, stage and
development environment as per user request
 Checking DB performance bottlenecks and fixing the same
 Using RUNSTATS, REORGCHK and REORG to enhance application performance
 Database creation as per user request
 Working on data movement utilities using IMPORT, LOAD, and EXPORT
 Resolution for the user queries on application errors which are affected

environment .It has the data warehouse, OLTP applications running on DB2 databases. It has the
databases size ranging up to 600 GB.
Responsibility as a DB2 DBA:
 Helped the engineering team in designing the databases.
 Installed DB2 V9.5 Fixpack 3b on AIX and SUNOS Servers.
 Working Knowledge on HADR environments.
 Applied DB2 V8.1 Fixpack 14 on many production boxes.
 Performed Migration of V8.1 Fixpack 14 servers to V9.5.
