There is an increasing incidence of diabetic blindness in India and it is a major cause of concern and a serious health hazard. Control of Diabetic blindness is the need of the hour and Indian medical association has taken up this issue in association with the All India Ophthalmological Society.

Diabetic Retinopathy Screening Clinics are being organized regularly in the various districts of all the states where the project has been launched along with various awareness campaigns.

THE PDB has developed a free android app help diabetic achieve good control of Diabetes and prevent or delay the serious complications of Dibetes
