3. A VOLUNTARY ORGANIZATION FOR DEVELOPMENT OF INCLUSIVE SOCIETY
“Look the ability beyond disability”
with this motto Sri.S.P.Reddy , founder
Executive Director ,had laid the foundation
stone of Uma Educational & Technical
Society, Kakinada in the year 1988.
It is a registered non-governmental voluntary
organization.
4. The special feature of this organization is its
multidisciplinary approach in rehabilitation, training,
promotive, preventive and curative aspects of clinical
services in the area of different disabilities.
The vision of this organization is “the persons with
different abilities have equal rights, respect and dignity to
lead a better quality life”.
5. AIMS AND OBJECTIVES
To run special schools, Rehabilitation homes and Sub
centres for the education, welfare & rehabilitation of
persons with different abilities.
To protect the rights of persons with different abilities and
others who are below poverty line.
To implement Inclusive Education programme for
differently abled at secondary stage.
6. To run old age home for the aged, deserted and destitute
persons.
To provide vocational training to the school dropouts and
unemployed youth.
To participate actively in government programmes
like pulse polio immunization etc.
To run hostels for girls from high school to college
level.
To start income generating programmes for
persons with different abilities and formation of their
self help groups.
