2. Theme Since “Valerie” is an upbeat, fast paced song, this made us think that we would use high key lighting in most scenes and close ups of the lead singer.
3. Images We’ve decided to focus on certain words and connecting images to them, for instance, “water” We want to use a similar technique to the one in this advertisement. www.youtube.com/watch?v=fsE0g-8CDQo
4. Type of editing We will use Ambi Editing. This means we will be cutting to the beat of the music. This technique will be most relevant in the start of the song as this is where the song is the most instrumental. Also, we will be using CGI to create the images as it will give it a slight futuristic feel.
5. We were thinking of picturing drums in the beginning of the video as drums are the instrument being heard loudly.
6. “In my head I paint a picture” As this line is repeated a few times we’ve decided to show the singer having fun painting a picture.
7. Type of music video Our music video to “Valerie” is likely to be majority of a performance video. We plan to have our video focus on our female lead singer taking a trip through a house. Using fast cutting images in the video will correspond to the lyrics and sound.
8. Valerie's features At some points in our music video we will focus on Valerie's features, similar to how it is done in “(500) days of Summer”
